Meet Marissa. Hello, I am Marissa, an 18-year-old high school senior. I have two years of experience as a lifeguard and have been part of my high school swim team for four years, as well as a team member of Hawkey swim for three summers. I am passionate about being in the water and helping others feel confident in it. I find it rewarding to see the progress at the end of each summer and the smiles on their faces!

Maggie is officially ready to jump back into the pool with all our new and returning swimmers this summer! 🌊
There is nothing quite like the energy of a "fresh start" with our beginners, or the pride of watching our returning swimmers master advanced strokes and sharpen their water safety skills. 🏊‍♂️✨
A few fun facts as we kick off the season:

• 🚀 It is our 3rd summer as Hawkey Swim STL!

Another day means another instructor introduction…

Hi! I’m Emily Westlove, a second-year swim instructor at Hawkey Swim. I started swimming when I was 4 years old, played collegiate water polo where I was a 3× All-American. With over 10 years of experience coaching both swimming and water polo, I’m excited for another fun summer of building new swim skills and making sure every swimmer feels safe and confident in the water!

Morgan Walker!

This is my first year as a swim instructor in this program but look forward to meeting all those I work with this year! I’m currently a rising senior getting a degree at Saint Louis University, as well as competing as a D1 swimmer. As a swimmer myself, I believe everyone should have to opportunity to learn in a safe, engaging, and fun manner. I adapt all my lessons to the capabilities of every swimmer and incorporate mini games that makes the learning process feel easy and natural. Not only growing confidence and comfortability within the water but around the water too. Additionally, being an instructor bring me joy, as I get to watch those I work with progress and find a passion for swimming! I look forward to everybody I’m working with this summer and can’t wait to meet you!!
