Hi I’m Grace, a lot of people meet me or see my posts and say things like “you live such a balanced life,” “your energy is so calm”, ‘you seem so happy’ etc. It means the world to me to receive a compliment like that, but 1) I’m not always love & light 2) I struggled through a lot of my 20s battling disordered eating, body dysmorphia, gut/hormone issues & mental health battles. I started body building at the age of 20, I thought if I had the ‘perfect body’ I would surely be happy. It was actually quite the opposite, in the second pic when I was so focused on my physical body, nothing else mattered. My whole life revolved around what I ate, when I was going to the gym and how i could look better.

I ended up stumbling into a yoga class, that ultimately saved my life, I was in child’s pose and uncontrollable tears began to stream down my face. I left that class and decided it was also time to leave bodybuilding. There was not overnight change from leaving body building to learning to live a balanced lifestyle. I had lost touch with my intuition, leaving me lost on where to go next. I battled with binging and restricting with food/the gym, body image, inflammation & mental health for the next 2 - 3 years. Many days I cried myself to sleep & felt like I was alone on this journey.

It took about 3 years to finally get to a place where I felt like I could go out to eat with my friends without worrying about extreme bloat or guilt about what I was eating. I’m not perfect & there are still days I struggle with body image, gut health & food, but I’m grateful to say my life no longer revolves around this.

My purpose is to help others to learn to recognize their inner wisdom, connect to themselves & live their version of a balanced life. You deserve to feel safe in your body & let your inner glow out. If this resonates with you, I would love to hear about it

And just like that, the first month of 2023 comes to an end.

As we transition into the next month, many of us start the year with resolution, goals, habits that we want to start? How did they go for you? What did you do well? What are you celebrating?

How can you continue to take these habits into the next month and the month after that?

If you wanted to start a habit, but didn’t? What blocked you from starting that habit?

This is a great time to pull out a journal and write it all out, bring dump what went well and what didn’t, how you’re going to transition into the next month

Daily habits that have up-leveled my wellbeing

- Breathwork + meditation
- Regular movement
- Practicing gratitude
- Eating REAL food
- Being out in nature
- Having healthy relationships
- Being kind to myself & others

Your health is so much more than the next fad diet and over exercising. As we approach the new year, instead of trying to do all the latest fads, what small healthy habit can you incorporate in the month of January?

Very excited for the new year & to welcome all the new abundance in 🤎

attitude of gratitude 🫶🏼

Our mind is always wanting too look at what’s wrong, what we need to change, what we need to do…but we have the power to flip the script & remember & acknowledge all that we have to be grateful for

What are you grateful for today?

I’m really grateful had this sign bc it speaks to my soul. Also their food is 10/10

happy Saturday 🫶🏼

What is holistic living?

Holistic living is a lifestyle that nourishes your mind, body & soul, a way of living that lets you look at the bigger picture - the whole person

A holistic lifestyle isn’t one size fits all - it means you observe yourself - all of yourself - and create a lifestyle that nourishes you as a whole

Holistic living acknowledges that mind, body & soul are all interconnected. Each affects the other.

Taking time to nourish and acknowledge each one will allow you to create a balanced life that feels good to you 🤍

5 Things that Can Change Your Life in a Year

1. Stop complaining and appreciate how lucky you are
2. Embrace loneliness and learn about yourself in the process
3. Sweat everyday to boost your mood and brain power
4. Say goodby to people that don’t bring positive energy into your life
5. Fail forward. Learn from every mistake you make

Practice these in your everyday life and you will no doubt change in the process for the better. For yourself and for those around you. It’s not always going to be easy, but it’s going to be worth it

3 Self-Improvement tips for a productive week

1. Solitude breaks - Small moments to recharge yourself and help you reconnect with yourself. I set a time for 10 - 15 mins and go on a walk, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, stretch, meditate or journal
2. Plan 2 to 4 goals for the day or week - before bed or during your morning routine, plan 2 to 4 goals for your day or week. This will help you to stay focused and give momentum for small wins to celebrate
3. Create small rituals - rituals can be anything you do mindfully while setting an intention. For me, that is starting my morning with breathwork/meditation and or movement. In the evening it me be stretching or going on an evening walk or pulling an angel card. Create small rituals that you can do daily to slow down and keep you in perspective for the day

You are more productive and feel better when you fill your cup first. So, make sure to take time for yourself and your habits that make you feel good

It’s the small habits.
How you spend your mornings.
How you talk to yourself.
What you read.
What you watch.
Who you share your energy with.
Who has access to you.
That will change your life.

All about making the most of small habits in my daily life. Romanticizing morning walks, coffee, getting ready for the day. Living in that type of energy instead of just trudging through the day and ‘waiting’ or ‘wishing’ for that moment of ‘getting there’

Enjoy the journey of life on a day to day basis

Slow down, smell the roses and find gratitude today
