Did you know that according to background check records from last December, background checks totaled about 2.3 million in December, compared to about 2 million in December 2013? High gun sales were aided by a record-setting Black Friday, when 175,000 background checks were run in one day. While background checks don't reflect exact sales of fi****ms, they are the most reliable indicator of the number of guns sold from month to month and year to year.
