WashU Raas - Raas Royalty 2019 - Third Place 04/25/2019

As the school year is coming to an end, we'd like to share our gratitude for some really incredible people who have helped us on our journey this year...

We traveled to 3 Raas-All Stars affiliated bid competitions this Spring. The first was Beat of Raas in New Jersey and the second was Raas Royalty in Bloomington, Indiana, where we placed 3rd and earned a bid point to nationals, Raas All-Stars XI: Rewrite the Stars! We returned to Houston, Texas for Space City Raas to end our season, and couldn't have asked for a better time. We'd like to give a huge shoutout to our secretary Tracy Rappai, who tirelessly dealt with the woes of Reserve-A-Space and other logistics, & to our treasurer Arjun Puri who made sure we had the money to build our set and travel free of cost! Shoutout to Anjali Sivamohan for doing some awesome PR and keeping our social media game strong!

To our entire team-- we love you endlessly and are so thankful for your constant willingness to learn and work hard through grueling practices and prop days. This was a unique year, with 9 new members, including 7 freshmen, joining our team. Despite never having been exposed to Raas, our newbies showed pure dedication and commitment to not only learning this style of dance, but perfecting their skill to be able to compete with some nationally acclaimed teams. Thank you to our DJ G-tam for seamlessly integrating our theme into our mix, and to PG Photography & Design for capturing some amazing memories of our team, both on and off stage this season.

Last but not least, thanks to all of our friends, family, alumni, and the WashU & St. Louis community for supporting us as we strive to better ourselves and work harder every year.

RMFR for life,
