Our 8th Graders were all Gold at the Freestyle kickoff tournament today. Congrats to Josie and Charles for taking first place in their brackets. Charles was competing against several high school state qualifiers! SLJ alumns Jack, Charlie, and Zeke also took 4th, 5th, and 6th, respectively. Awesome job, ninjas!

Congrats to Seb and Charles on qualifying for state! Charles went 3-2 and took 4th, both losses coming in overtime to opponents who had beaten him worse earlier in the year. Seb took 2nd, teching opponent who had beaten him many times over the past three year! On to Springfield!

Congrats to Silas (4th), Keel and Seb (3rd), Charles, Andrew, and August (2nd), and Jay and Xavier (1st place!) for a great showing at the Pirate Invitational today!

Best of luck to two former ninjas competing in the Missouri High School State Tournament this weekend. Joah Moore (Class 4, 175 #, Jackson High School) and Tiernan Miller (Class 2, 175 #, Clayton High School) will be battling for medals at Mizzou Arena this week!

Check out these two SLJWC alumns battling in the quarter finals at districts! Good luck to Ayden and Joah, and to Pa**ie, Tiernan, Jack, Tommy, and any other ninjas out there who are fighting to punch their tickets to the high school state tournament today!

Congrats to Seb and Charles for taking 3rd and 5th place, respectively at AAU State yesterday!

Great job at the Union Tournament yesterday, Ninjas! Seb R. competed for the first time. Maggie took 4th. Jay and Charles took 3rd in very tough brackets. The Ott brothers both took home silver medals and August Melton brought home the gold!

Over on the Illinois side, Andrew took 3rd at the Roxana Tournament.

Looking forward to wrestling our Gateway City Wrestling League friends on Friday at St. Mary's High School.

More fun for former ninjas at high school tournaments today. Max and Pa**ie faced off for 5th at Parkway West, where Tiernan also took 3rd. Zeke, Jack, Otto, Ayden, and Leo also helped SLUH take 1st place at the Black Cat Duels!

Great start to the season for these ninjas. All 8 placed in the top three of their brackets at Francis Howell North. Seb and Charles took home gold!

It's so cool to see former SLJWC ninjas flourishing in high school. Today at the Patriot Classic, Pa**ie Ertmann and Max Ott both won multiple hard-fought matches. Jack Moeser took 4th place, Zeke Ott took 3rd place, and Tommy Onder took 2nd! Over at the John Burroughs tournament, Cillian Clark took 3rd place. Cillian has a 6-1 record on the reason and will become the first SLJWC ninja to wrestle in college when he heads to North Iowa Area Community College next fall!
