Thanks to MWR Kings Bay for referring a handful of excellent students to us. For some reason this SCUBA thing seems to come naturally to submariners. Congratulations to our newest open water divers!

We have open water classes twice a month and we offer all kinds of specialty classes to further your training. Come by the shop or give us a call to get on the schedule.

The legends of the diving community throughout history have echoed the sentiment that everyone remembers the person who taught them how to SCUBA Dive. George Constantino will surely be remembered for this, among other things. George was a soft spoken, kind hearted man with the patience of a Saint. He possessed superb SCUBA teaching techniques, a deep understanding of the sport with a passion for teaching and diving. Equipped with these qualities, he impacted the lives of hundreds of students through SCUBA instruction and certification. As the Leader of the diving group Camden Underwater Diving Association (CUDA), he arranged monthly meetings which brought divers together, continually educated the diver community and kept divers active.

He would often pull me aside and offer his observations about how the shop was operating which compelled me to slow down, step back and reflect. I would watch him teach the most difficult students with his, as I called it, “student whisperer” ability. I cannot recall an instance when any of his students quit. I regret not ever telling him how much I admired him and how much of a mentor he was to me. Although we mourn his loss today, let us not forget to celebrate his life, legacy and the impact he has left on the lives of so many people that he introduced to and influenced in the diving community.
