The 4th Annual Stamford Athletics Golf Scramble is this Friday, July 31, and there’s still time to get your team signed up!

This tournament is about more than just golf—every dollar raised goes directly back to support Stamford ISD boys and girls athletics. Your participation helps provide opportunities, equipment, and resources for our local student-athletes, allowing them to grow both on and off the field. Investing in our kids is an investment in the future of our community.

💰 Cash payouts, fun on-course contests, and a chance to win an Odyssey putter in the putting contest!

✨ A Piece of Stamford Country Club History ✨

Nearly a century ago, the vision for Stamford Country Club began becoming a reality.

An article published in the Stamford Leader on July 6, 1926 announced that the contract for the original country club building had officially been awarded to J. Dyer, a local architect and builder. The contract amount was $13,464.00.

Construction was set to begin within two weeks, with the clubhouse scheduled to be completed by November 1, 1926. The article noted that Stamford brick would be used in the construction and that the building would sit “on the crest of a hill in the center of the club grounds” facing southwest.

What started as a plan on paper in 1926 became a gathering place that has brought together generations of families, friends, golfers, and our community.

Almost 100 years later, Stamford Country Club still stands as a reminder of the dedication and vision of those who came before us — and we are proud to continue the traditions they started. ⛳️🤍
