Today some Stamford Police officers assisted during surprise visit by Yankee Legend, Mariano Rivera for Stamford Little Leagues opening day at Scalzi Park.

With the Stamford Youth Baseball season about to begin let's all remember why we do what we do. Yes , the extra money is great but the reason we're between the white lines is and should always be about the the children playing the greatest game in the world. Not about the manager's , not the coaches , not the parents and especially not us. Nobody comes to the games to see the Umpires. So keep in mind when you take the field your there for the children. ... PLAYBALL !!! ⚾️
