Started in 1932, this 238 nm-distance race is one of the top offshore events on the East Coast. The first signal for the next race is noon on the Friday before Labor Day.

8 days away to the 2025 commissioning of Stamford YC. One of the great spectacles on LI Sound, filled with rich traditions, the scurlle of bagpipes, and classic yachting attire as the colors are raised on the Club's yardarm, the invocation is presented, and the members who have crossed the bar in the past years are rembered with the somber tones of the bell that tolls their passing. And finally after "the Flag" have been awarded their burgees of rank, the words we all long to hear, "The Club has been commissioned and the bar is open!"
