Annual yacht race celebrating the relationship between Stamford and Denmark. Sail like a Dane!
Attracting both performance sailors and the more occasional racers, the Denmark Race remains one of the largest day races on the Long Island Sound. The fun is both on the water and off, with two race parties: a dinner the night before, and cocktails, Danish beer and snacks on the SYC lawn after the race, in connection with the awards ceremony.

It's been over a week already since the Denmark Race! Unfortunately, the race itself didn't happen because of lack of wind. But a good time was had by all on the water and ashore at Stamford Yacht Club, as we celebrated the Race's 60th edition!

Two more J/Boats, Newport, RI J120s have entered the race: William Klein's SPECK from Norwalk Yacht Club and Andrian Lubimov's DUET from Huguenot Yacht Club. DUET and SPECK also sailed the long course of the Vineyard Race, qualifying them for the Redniss Cup awarded for best combined performance in the two races.
