God: Hey, whatcha doing?
Me: Just scrolling through her profile.
God: Why?
Me: I don’t know. To see if she’s doing a better job at being a mom than I am.
God: Does that matter to you?
Me: No. Yes. Maybe, I don’t know.
God: Is that going to help you be a better mom?
Me: I’m just trying to see how she does it all. She seems to have everything, the career, the kids, the husband…
God: You have all of those things, too.
Me: Well, yeah…but mine looks like such a mess and hers looks so easy, so perfect.
God: Yours looks like a mess? What part?
Me: The piles and piles of laundry. The unfinished chores. One of the kids has a project due today and I’m not sure they finished it last night. I really need to organize the kitchen cabinets. I don’t even want to mention the dishes, they seem to multiply! There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day and the mess feels overwhelming.

This weekend we had the opportunity to celebrate both Noah and Blake’s Birthdays! They are 2 years and 2 weeks apart and with family living out of town, it’s so nice to get together in one place at one time.
Noah chose ”Roar for 4” Dino theme🦖🦕
Blake chose Frozen👑❄️
Derek’s parents made all of the sweets () and our families came together to help make this possible for the kids. So much work goes into a small get together like this with set up and clean up, picking up last minute things and we are so appreciative. We even had a special friend, Sophia Amarillo-Giraldo do face painting for the kids and it was a big hit!
Our family and my close girl friends even put together a group gift for Derek and I in honor of the new baby who will be joining us in just a few short weeks💓💙
We truly are surrounded by the best family and friends! Thank you all for loving on our kids and our family.

Blake is TWO today!🎈🎈
We are so blessed she’s ours! She brings a joy that’s unexplainable to our family and we love watching her grow. We can’t wait to see her in action as a little Mommy aka Big Sister in just a few weeks.
We love you so very much, Blakey girl and today is a celebration just for you! Happy 2nd Birthday!🎂🎉2️⃣
