"Do velvet bucks grow any more the rest of the summer?"
Generally, no. What you see is pretty much what you get once we hit mid-July. A good way to tell is to look at the antler tips. If they are still dark and bulbous, they are growing. Once they point off, that's it.
Pics 1 & 2 are done.
Pic 3 still has some length to put on.
From what I've seen, generally younger bucks finish up a few weeks later than older bucks.

Childhoods are better when land is managed well and kids are given space to roam and be kids. Just the facts. Let's do better.
This little pond is where some of my fondest childhood memories were made.
Catching bass
PIcking blackberries
Being outside kids
How sad what it's become. A mess of Japanese Knotweed and algae. Posted signs. No wonder kids choose screens now.
Time changes everything, yes. But we can do better.
That's the core of why Invasive Pros was founded. It's not just about ecology and abstraction. This is our home. We can do better.

I'm sorry I have to, again.
I've eaten my fill for the year, but this post will be about the deer.
Deer absolutely love raspberry and blackberry canes. It's excellent browse, and cover, all wrapped into one.
If you're a deer hunter, you should love canes and want more of them too.
We help deer and deer hunters by growing more and better natural deer food. We're not anti-food plot, we just believe they should supplement the native forage. It's better than the other way around, because it is.

We had a blast at this weekend's sporting clay shoot hosted by the Ridge Country RGS. We'd heard great things about this new local chapter and look forward to joining hands in lots of habitat work!

How are those summer bucks coming along?
Want to go beyond the food plot and build real deer habitat?
Your land is our easel. A backpack sprayer and chainsaw is our paintbrush. Let's build better habitat together.
Booking winter 2025-2026 habitat projects. Seems a long way off, but 2025 is already flying by.

If you know you know
We've been taking a little time this past week to slow down, recharge, and soak in some family time. Much needed after a wild spring season where we knocked out a lot of great work.
We know we're behind on a few quotes and follow-ups — thank you for your patience. We'll be catching up this weekend and early next week. If you're waiting on something specific and want to make sure it doesn't fall through the cracks, feel free to shoot us a text message. 814-531-5243
Look for another update next week as we evaluate our direction for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Appreciate all the support as we do our best to grow Bee Kind the right way. 🌱

At Ridgeline Land Management, we’re the only contractor in Pennsylvania (that we know of) who’s taken on habitat restoration projects specifically to benefit bobcats.
These ghost cats need the right cover, corridors, and prey availability—and we’re helping make that happen.

Good land management has many outcomes. Our favorites are the ones we get to share with friends and family.
