Long-term student development takes long-term consistency

It goes without saying that any student who wants to improve needs to be consistent.
We believe the same standard applies to coaches.

Both instructors at South Tahoe Jiu-Jitsu earned their black belts after years of daily training under close mentorship, and they believe providing that same opportunity for their students is the bare minimum.

Every class, from kids to adults, is taught by the same local black belts who live here, train here, and are invested in the long-term success of our local students.

Last week, we had the honor of promoting Phil to black belt. With nearly two decades of Jiu Jitsu experience—on top of a deep background in wrestling and MMA—this promotion reflects the level he’s operated at for a long time.

Phil makes everyone around him better. We’re proud to have him as a training partner and part of our team.

Charlie is a South Tahoe Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt and has been training with us since the beginning. Congratulations Charlie on winning the Nevada 3a State Wrestling Championships at 126 pounds!!!!

This year has been an incredible journey filled with growth, hard work, and so many shared mats. We’re grateful not just for the amazing students in our gym but for the friendships and learning opportunities with other gyms in our community.
