I have been building rods on a regular basis. I am absolutely loving the Northfork Composites X-Ray Blanks. While very expensive, they go on sale occasionally.

I have been working on a collection of top water baits. These designs are based on my favorite bass baits. I will have these for sale at $7-10, depending on the design. Made of Red Cedar blanks, painted and finished. Anti-corrosion hooks and SS hardware. Shoot me a pm to see what I have available.

It's been a fun year on the water. Here are some highlights.

I have been really busy building this month. All this rain has kept me in the shop. This is a medium action/fast spinning rod iwth cork split grip and a CRB blank in teal with teal wraps. This was built for a special young fisherman of 8 years of age.

I completed the handle assembly for the spinning trolling rod. This handle should be awesome for removing from rod holders and comfort.

II am sorry to say that I have been neglecting the site lately. I have some nice builds in the works. I am currently building a pair of king mackerel trolling rods with 7 1/2 foot Northfork Composite (G. Loomis) blanks, one casting one spinning. Both have 12" hard plastic long handles for ease removing from the rod holders with a smoker on and a stainless gimbal butt. Stainless reel seats and an 8" EVA fore grip will complete the handle assembly. The spinning rod will use the CRB high performance LZR guide system, and the casting rod will have double footed titanium casting guides with SIC inserts. I will post progress as I am waiting on a reel seat.

I built a bottom fishing rod for a trip I was taking to the Gulf of Mexico back in the Spring. I broke the rod in with this nice grouper. Needless to say, he put up a good battle.

I am currently building a spinning rod for a friend. It has a Lamiglas 7' medium/fast (8-14 lbs.) blank, full cork grip and fore grip, ergonomic exposed blank reel seat, diamond butt wrap, teal wraps with gold trim to match guides. I am currently adding the trim bands and then it will be ready to epoxy. This is going to be an awesome rod.

Just completed a now rod build. This is a med-fast Lamiglas 7'10". Microwave guides and cork handle. A high end rod for trout and reds.

I have a few new builds that I have recently completed. Here are a couple of recent spinning rods.
This was built on a Teal Med Light-Moderate fast action 6' 6" CRB color series blank from Mudhole. Great feel and so light. Cork split grip containing 2 champagne corks, and concept guide train. I hope to catch a few crappie on this one in the Spring.

The second rod is a very nice spinning rod built on a Forest Green 7' 10" Med Heavy-fast Lamiglas blank, with a long 11" carbon handle, Fuji Concept guides, and an aluminum reel seat. This is definitely an inshore dream rod. I designed it for a 4000 series reel to float corks for speckled trout. My most high end build yet!
