He has a bird just out in front. He has to learn to stand still and smell the bird. If he steps off the barrel, I put him back on the barrel. His reward for standing there smelling the bird.

Ok friends......here is another cool dog we have taken in and are looking for a forever home for.

Meet Duke. He is a Dutch Shepherd mix but has a lot of Dutch in him. He is not aggressive and very smart.

He wandered up to someone's shop and stayed a few days. After trying to find his home, we took him in. We have wormed him and fed him and loved him. He is intact.

I've had him on a pinch collar and he learned to walk on a leash in about 2 minutes.

We are often ask why we don't offer group training classes.

It's our belief that young or untrained dogs can not focus on what is being taught with other unruly dogs jumping, barking and just being puppies. Sure, as we train a dog in obedience, then we want to proof that training in situations that offer distractions, but not until.

We get lots and lots of dogs in for obedience training that have already tried the training classes at the big box stores. It just doesn't work.
