Part of the Intro to Sport Management class, at Georgia Southern, is to host a sporting event to raise funds for the Youth at Risk Organization located in Statesboro, Georgia. My group will put on a "tailgating" inspired event at the Russell Union. Here students and other members of the Statesboro area can play games such as cornhole and water pong. A small water pong tournament will be played to crown the ultimate "True Blue" fan!

The Boro Prepared for Anything - Youth Edition is off to another great year. Remember, coming up at the end of this month our co****le/water pong tournament and games will be taking place. Make sure to look around the Rotunda for us in the next few weeks!
The CrossFit Boro Prepared for Anything program kicked off its second session on Monday, February 1st. We have three returning athletes and three new athletes. We reduced the numbers so we could provide more individualized focus for the athletes. The baseline test during this session consisted of 500 meter rows, 40 squats, 20 push-ups, and 10 pull-ups. We are looking forward to another great session with this group of athletes!

I am excited to inform all of you that the True Blue Georgia Southern Fan Experience will be focusing its attention to the Boro Prepared for Anything - Youth Edition. This organization takes at-risk youth and supplies them with a safe, fun place to exercise. The Crossfit Boro is the location of this facility. These events we are holding will ultimately fund this organization. Along with the events we have planned, we will also be accepting donations of new or gently used athletic clothes, snacks, and other things to help these at-risk kids live a healthier life. Please check out Boro Prepared for Anything - Youth Edition, and like their page, to see what your money and donations will be going toward. I hope to see you all at the events later this semester! (Attached are some of the kids, trainers, and pictures of the facilities)
