This week we’ve seen cooler temperatures in the mornings and Rocky and Jerry are all about it. ❤️😊🐴 Fall is right around the corner, and we can’t wait! 🍁

We started this business six years ago with these two sweet horses!



This picture was taken about six weeks after we started North Star Run.  They were the only two on the farm and we had no idea what the future held. The business was small, but our vision was big. 

Six years later, we have 26 horses on site, (with a waiting list). 

We have worked crazy hard to ensure that our vision for a safe, peaceful, and the thriving environment for our retired horses could come to fruition.

Here we are! ❤️

We do our best every day to make sure that their retired years are their best years.

Although we had to say goodbye to these two sweet geldings, they left a legacy and an imprint on North Star Run that will never be forgotten! 

To all of our FB friends- Thank you for following along. Fewer things can be harder than what we do, but in return, fewer things could be more rewarding.

This pasture was bush-hogged about three weeks ago. We started off our summer in a severe drought. Couldn’t get the grass to grow fast enough and now we can’t get it to stop. 🤷‍♀️ The horses seem quite happy with the recent growth spurt. 🐴🌿❤️

Something happened and we can’t explain it.

I have no idea how algorithms work. Heck, I barely know how social media works.

But this is what I do know. On a random Wednesday we had approximately 750 followers, mostly family and friends. Four days later we had over 11,000 followers. All because one of our videos went viral.. Almost a half million views. 🤯

I have no idea how that happened. Like I said, I don’t understand algorithms. They might as well be rocket science.

But… here we are. It wasn’t really about that specific video. It’s about gaining new friends and being able to put a smile on someone’s face Our little community has grown and we are so happy to share all of this with you.

We love what we do. We love our horses. And we are excited to share our passion with like minded people.  Because life is about the little things, when you put them together, they become the big things!
