North Star Run Equine Retirement Farm

It’s not often the entire NSR team leaves the farm, but when we do, it’s for Banana 🍌ball ⚾️. Just kidding, it was our first time, and we had a great time. Thankful for time with family visiting from out of town.

Happy Sunday everyone! We hope you all have had a great weekend. It’s been a productive one here at North Star Run!

We’ve had special visitors, unexpected vet appointments, and dedicated staff showing up to do all of the things that make this farm go round!

It truly takes a village! We are so appreciative to all who support the NSR team!  A special thank you to Tryon Equine mobile for the Amazing care they provide to each of our horses. To Kyla and Kyle for showing up when we need them  and a special shout out to Erin who is still on maternity leave but is so important to our team as well!

And look at our sweet, little great niece who is a farm girl in training. We love her so much.

Rocky and Jerry have been here for a little over a month now. They are settling in nicely and are a great addition to our farm family. Not to mention they are great little barn helpers. 😉❤️

Darth Vader! He’s not your stereotypical pony. He’s sweet, patient, and kind. He loves his pasture time, even though he has to wear a grazing muzzle.  

We had a decent rain last week and grass is taking off. Darth definitely approves. Isn’t he so cute?

Front porch sittin’ weather. Our local meteorologist described it as “San Diego weather”. If you know, you know. 🤩

It’s been an amazing week of mild temperatures, no humidity, no bugs and minimal flies. The summer scorch will be here soon enough, but in the meantime, we will be over here, soaking it all in. Someone may need to drag me to go inside. ☺️

I know it’s hard to see from this one picture,  but this is my view from the porch. I can see 17 of the 27 horses in this one photo. ❤️
