Good morning,
Today is the last day of wrestling signups. Please sign up through the statesville park and rec website under your appropriate schools hub. You can request to wrestle for the rattlers when you sign up.

Hi there everyone excited to announce sign ups are going on right now at the Statesville Rec Center until October 13th

The Rattlers would like to congratulate two former members on a great state tournament run.

Bray finished 1st place at 138 in 3A
Brixan finished 2nd place at 182 in 3A

Both wrestlers started off with us while still in grade school. Both have worked extremely hard to get to this point.

We are extremely proud that Brixan Burgess will be going to Belmont Abby next year to further his education and to wrestle.

Today the 2022-2023 rattlers walked away with 3 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals. I’d like to say thank you to all the parents who got their kids to practice and tournaments early on a Saturday morning. it is impossible to run a wrestling team solo, I want to thank Andrew Thompson, Cesar Titus, and Calab warren for being there to help me this year. I also want to say a thank you to Gavin Warren. You’ve been a Rattler your whole youth wrestling career, you’re gonna be missed in the wrestling room next year buddy we will miss you!! I’m so happy with how far you all have come this season, and hope to see you all next year!!

What an amazing tournament metals all around so proud of these kids

Tonight was the last practice of the season. These boys literally put blood, sweat, and tears in to the season. They should all hold their heads high, because this sport isn’t for everyone and they made it. From where the season started, to now I couldn’t be more happy where they are at this point in the season. Now let’s go bring back some hardware up at North Iredell high school this Saturday 9 am- 2 pm. Cheer on the boys the rest of the week, and if you can get up there to show support it would be fantastic.
