blood,little blood, or no blood our goal is to track that trophy deer or doe you have attempted to harvest. Big or small the track is worth the find.
The track that took my breath away not because we found it but because I thought my pistol fell out of the holster into the river when trying to recover the deer. Luckily it was recovered in a different location and that chest rig is now in the trash.

Had two tracks first one deer was jumped about 2500 yards away from shot and seemed to run off healthy and cross property lines. So we decided to call it.
2nd one was a first deer that a kid shot. Blood trail stopped and thought they had jumped it. They backed out and called us. Deer was located in the creek bottom very close to where they stopped. Congrats on your first deer young man!

We have been kinda low key this year and focusing on other things. I apologize to all that has reached out for tracks and I wasn’t able to make it, but we are good to go and ready to get back into full swing. Here are a couple of the most recent recovery this year. Had a nice track Saturday afternoon. Hunter called stating that he made a shot and thought he heard the deer go down but couldn’t find any blood nor the arrow. We arrived to the hit site and started the track. I found one drop of blood once we entered the woods. Thinking the deer just ran straight in, I kept pointing chance that way and calling him off bc he kept wanting to go to the left and follow the tree line. In my mind thinking the hunter would have seen the deer run that way. Luckily we got on the right track after my mistake and started finding drops here and there. The track didn’t look to promising finding a drop here and there as if it was a shoulder shot and the blood was just running down the leg. We ended up finding the arrow that had fell out but couldnt find any blood to confirm which way he could have went so we just trusted chance. Once further in the track we started see drops again and then finally the deer started to open up pretty good. Chance started to make a lot circles and I looked up and the deer was laying right in front of us. My guess is the scent pool was strong and was having trouble pin pointing right where it was but at end of the day he got us to it and with out him this deer wouldn’t have been recovered. Shot placement was elbow and exit was low chest clipping the bottom of the heart.
Congrats to the hunter for his harvest and thank you for trust us to come out.

Quick little track today and it felt good been hurt an have been having to pass tracks to my tracking partner. This deer was shot the afternoon of 11/18 and we arrived midday on 11/19. The story here is different and this why, I normal don’t track behind another tracker( out respect) and honestly didn’t know my tracking partner had already been on this one. I found out it was my buddy that had been on it the night before and gave him a call. I talked with him before I even ever told the guy I would come. My buddy gave the go ahead and that his dog just seemed off and wasn’t happy with how she tracked. which can happen with any dog. Mine has had its bad days and I have called another tracker myself for a hunter bc I knew the deer was recoverable but the dog just didn’t want to work that day or didn’t work to full potential just like humans we have off days. I realized after tracking this deer his dog was not off just stuck in a scent cloud/ scent pool which happens personal I think it’s harder for the dog to get out of a scent cloud/ scent pool when leashed but what can we do it’s N.C. gotta have a leash. At the end off the day this hunter was very happy with both of us. Congrats on your buck!!
