Riverheads Indoor Track & Field

We are doing a fundraiser for our indoor/outdoor track program. Come out and support our team and these kids.

Our Girls 4x200 of Olivia Keller, Alexis Sacra, Lilly Gordon, Annie Roller broke the school record with a time of 1:57.43 previously held by Jordan Annese, Hanley Carpenter, Jordan Jones and Madison Miller with a time of 1:57.44.

Alexis Sacra breaks the 55m hurdles record again with a 9.72. Previous record was held by her at a 9.79

Indoor Track starts Monday November 10th if your athlete/child wants to compete or try something new. Track is considered to be an individual sport but we make it a team. I can’t wait to get started

RHS Track is at the Meating Place today and tomorrow running the concession. Stop by and grab some breakfast or lunch.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I am late on this update but better late than never. We had a meet on Tuesday December 19 in Hampton VA and TWO Indoor Track School records were broken.

Austin Roberts (Junior) broke the High Jump Indoor record at 6-4. The previous record was 6-2. Austin keeps pushing the high jump heights and I am blessed I get to coach witness this. It’s not everyday you get to witness someone jumping this height.

Verity Jordan (Freshman) broke the 1000m Indoor Record with a time of 3:28.08. The previous record time was 3:32.94. As stated above she is only a freshman and has been struggling with some injuries limiting her to run her full potential and to do this is awesome. Very proud of her.

I wanted to highlight something that at RHS we don’t see very often. We are very proud of all of our track athletes. I have a feeling some more records will be broken this year 🙂.

RHS TRACK @ Liberty Today: Austin Roberts with two state qualifiers today. One in High Jump: Cleared 6’2. The other in the 300m with a time of 38:38. Missed his pr by .07
