We lost Red Pride HOF Class of 2009 member Adam Gregory recently. Adam was a 2002 graduate who, in football, was an all-state Definsive tackle for the 2000 State Champion team while also a multi-year all-district and all-region player. He was also an incredible wrestler as a heavyweight with 120+ career wins and brought home the State Championship his senior year to cap of an undefeated year.
He will always be a Gladiator Legend.

Member of the Class of 2006 HOF Class Highlight:
Larry Hull & Ron Wilkerson
It is impossible to talk about either of these legends without talking about the other, so a special two-for-one on the countdown. The best way to recite their accomplishments is from the dedication of the track:
Hull-Wilkerson Track
The Track at Riverheads High School was renamed the Hull-Wilkerson Track in honor of former teachers & coaches Larry Hull and Ron Wilkerson. Both educators spent their entire careers working at Riverheads High School. During their tenure at Riverheads High School, they establish the track program as one of the best in the area. Larry Hull served as the head track coach from 1968-1981 and had an overall record of 86-22 (79%) which resulted in 6 district championships, 4 Regional championship and 1 state championship (1975). During this time, Ron Wilkerson served as his assistant coach. In 1982, the two switch roles as Coach Wilkerson took over as head coach and Coach Hull became his assistant. From 1982-2009, Coach Wilkerson had a overall record of 236-17 (93%) which resulted in 22 regular season championships, 18 district tournament meet championships, 2 regional championships and 1 state championship (2009). In 22 out of his 28 years as head coach, he was named District Coach of the Year 14 times, Region & State coach of the year several times during his tenure. In addition, Coach Wilkerson had 22 undefeated regular seasons, two separate winning streaks in dual and/or tri-meets: 83 consecutive wins (1985-1996), 72 consecutive wins (2002-2009).
The most impressive part of these two coaches leading the Gladiator Track program is that from 1968 through 2009, the combined overall record was 321-39 (89%), 28 regular season District championships, 6 regional championships, and 2 state championships. They combined to coach 18 individual state champions and 1 All-American. In addition, both coaches are credited with establishing and creating the annual Augusta County Track Invitational which is hosted by Riverheads High School. In addition to their duties as coaches, they were both educators in the Math Department during their entire teaching careers at Riverheads. Mr. Hull is the longest tenured teacher in Riverheads history with 48 years of teaching/coaching experience (1962-2010), and Mr. Wilkerson taught for 40 plus years at the school until he retired in 2009. Throughout their careers, they also helped with other duties and assignments at the school and within the community.
