The last two days Luke has taught me a very important lesson.

Sometimes it feels like you’re going it alone. No one noticing your efforts whether it be tackling the laundry every week or seeing gains on your wellness journey.

But this little boy, just 3 years old, has told me that I am beautiful more times than I can count and he’s worked out with me both days. He puts his shoes on cause “I wanna workout like mar with shoes” and asks me to hold his hand when we cross the street.

He sees me.

We get caught up on social media banging the drum asking other people to truly SEE US, when in reality there are probably people right there in your inner circle who want to clap for you and tell you you’re beautiful, but haven’t gotten the chance.

Just as much as you want to be seen, so does everyone else in your life. So this is your reminder to show them some love today:
Tell your spouse you appreciate them.
Let your bestie know how important she is in your life.
Tell your coach or workout buddy that you are grateful for their tough love.
Show up for the people in your life and give them the opportunity to do the same.

We were made to be in community with one another, and man it’s a beautiful thing when you surround yourself with uplifting people 💫🥰 @ Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Honest moment for y’all... Not being able to finish my workout today really got to me. I cried.

Maybe I sound dramatic to you, maybe you’re thinking woah mar you’re ok. And yes I am. But working out has become so special to me.

It’s the only time I can shut my brain off, basically black out (in the best way), and just release all the worry and stress of whatever season I am talking through.

It’s my therapy.
My stress outlet.
My “me time”.
A way to love my body.
Space to express myself.
It helps me have the strength to enjoy all the adventures life offers.

But it hasn’t always been that way. I used to hate it. Conditioning for cheer sucked, going to the gym early by myself sucked, and I used fitness as a way to punish my body for what I ate.

I never would’ve made that change if it wasn’t for the structure of our fitness plans and the SUPPORT of my team + wellness studio community.

Holding space for you to join us when you’re ready to find the joy in your journey too. Oh and meet some pretty badass women from all walks of life 😎🤜🏻🤛🏻 Link in bio as always ⚡️ @ Seattle, Washington

Don’t sit in worry thinking about what might happen next year or next month. Just focus on the next 24hours and what you can do to get you closer to the life you want.

Cause friend, you can’t control the world, but you can control what do you. Take on that responsibility with joy in your heart and the freedom to dream bigger than ever 💫💓

PNW I love you 💫🌲🤍

Things to remember today -
Fresh air is good for your soul.
You are worthy of good things.
You choose how each day goes.
God wins in the end.

I know the power of persistence.

The other day I got so frustrated with our washer machine I kicked it so hard it hurt. I mean I don’t like laundry but I don’t hate it that much. I had to call myself out for allowing a dark cloud to follow me around & recognize that that moment was simply an outward expression of an inward struggle.

Sometimes we want to curl up on the couch under that annoying pile of laundry and ignore the world. It’s tempting, sounds satisfying but if you’ve ever given into that temptation you know it’s not great at all. For me it usually results in tears and i for one hate crying.

Persistence is not giving into that small voice that says F it all, it’s folding the laundry instead of laying with it. The dictionary says it the - “firm continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition”. When was the last time you hit a wall in your day but kept going? Ya darn right I folded that laundry the other day after I killed my foot with the side of the washer lol

Persistence doesn’t have to be big, but the results are.

Because in embracing my struggles, giving my feelings their space but refusing to wallow in that self pity/doubt, leaning into my people/team, and refusing to let the darkness win, I am better than I have ever been.

So are you going to look at 2020 as the year that broke you? The year that handed you a loaded deck?
OR
The best year yet because in all the mess you persisted. You overcame. You adapted. You took time to grow and be challenged, and chose joy no matter what.

This time is yours. OWN IT. Live it big, and hold onto it with everything you’ve got ⚡️

4 years ago today I was on the phone with a stranger who I was convinced was cat fishing me.

I was a junior in college, panicking about paying bills after getting rejected for a number of jobs, had just left cheer and gained 10lbs, and struggling with feeling unfulfilled in my current season of life.

I don’t know what in me said it was cool to call a complete stranger but when Cinthanie answered I bombarded her with questions and awkwardly giggled the whole time. My simple yes that evening turned into a whole lotta joy, hard work, psychical gains, personal growth, and amazing friendships over the years.

Three of my bridesmaids are women who wouldn’t have come into my life if it wasn’t for coaching. I know I say it all the time, but truly my fav blessing from this business is the life changing friendships.

Thankful for the way God has used Instagram + coaching to bless my life and those on my team. That through this business He helped a broken soul find purpose, joy, self confidence, and create a vision to make an impact bigger than herself.

Cheers to 4 years as a coach, this is only just the beginning ⚡️

“I think one of the most paralyzing misconceptions is that we’re all supposed to have one true calling that comes to us in a mighty soul-defining light.”
- Jen Sincero

I don’t think any of us saw this coming. There was no earth shattering, bright light, ah-ha moment that pointed us in this direction yet here we are. Flourishing & full of joy because of it.

When I think back, I can see all the moments God was whispering it to me. I believe we all have gifts, ways to bring our unique light into the world.

At first glance you might not expect us all to be so close and working towards the same things. But if you just look a little closer you’ll see how we lift up each other’s light. You’ll see how Becca’s heart for meditation has inspired me to slow down and be more present. You’ll see Kami’s hustle even in the craziest season and how she empowers others on the daily to still make time for themselves. You’ll see Hannah’s heart so full of love it might just burst and overflow, as it does into our team and makes us all feel so appreciated. You’ll see my mission for helping more people choose joy no matter the season and how everyone on our team leans into that.
We all come to this team with unique gifts and I love seeing how coaching allows every single one of us to shine.

The question is- are you listening for His whisper, the small course corrections, and light shining through cracked doors that lead to amazing opportunities? Are you willing to share your gifts with the world and be lifted up by a community who needs your unique story?🦋

“I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness; it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude” - Brené Brown.

This month I have been focusing on creating more joy and spending more time in a space of gratitude. My team and I have been using the app, being more intentional with our {virtual} time together, and spreading that joy as much as we can.

The life you want and the happiness you see exude from others is waiting inside of you. Slow down, take a breath, and fix your eyes on the little things.

Today I want to share my gratitude journaling with you in hopes you’ll do the same with me. Today 7/28 I am grateful for:
💛Morning zoom calls with my team.
💛A new salad dressing to try.
💛Cozy vibes while working with a sleepy Gibbsarooni by my side.

Here’s to the little moments- start paying attention to those in your life too 🥰

Forever in love with icecream & YOU, Leon Elliott III🍦💙

A big thanks to my friend for capturing some fun memories of Leon & I. We had the best time showing her + her man around WA earlier this month. Getting to experience her amazing skills behind the camera just added even more joy to the trip. You’re a gem, Taylor.

I think life is a lot like walking on a trail.

We often keep our heads down with the small fear of tripping in the back of our minds, watching the unknown trail ahead. When we do look up we are amazed at the beauty but only just for a second missing the best of it.

At the head of our trail today I saw this quote (swipe 👉🏻) reminding me that we all have challenges, hurdles, setbacks, struggles, and trip ups if you will. But the important thing is that you get back up, keep your chin up, and soak in all the beauty this life has to offer.

Don’t walk through life with your head down allowing fear to take root. Embrace those moments when you have the opportunity to rise up & choose joy. @ Sauk River, Darrington

All growing up I was told that I was bossy.

Crazy how one word can carry so much weight if you let it. So much that I almost said no to a million opportunities simply because I didn’t want to be put in a situation where I had to make decisions or be a leader.

It wasn’t until I change the narrative in my own head that I was able to step into my power in all areas of my life. I’m not bossy, I’m assertive. I know what I want and I will work my ass of to get it. You only get this life, this wild crazy colorful life.

Stop giving so much weight to others opinions and the titles they place on you. Know that you are deserving of love & you should go after what you want. To all my girls labeled bossy out there keep advocating for yourself, keep moving forward, learn to be a leader in your life, and keep showing yourself kindness. Cause you’re gonna do big things 👏🏻💫 @ Mount Cavanaugh

Crying, laughing, squealing, simply bursting with joy 😭⚡️

When I was a team of ONE I dreamed about this moment & I prayed for these women not knowing who they were. I so wanted to extend the love that this opportunity has brought into my life, to show others what this business has done for me.

Standing here together, hand in hand, I can’t imagine not having them as part of our team. Each of these girls bring a unique light that sparks so much joy. I am so proud to be their coach; that they’ve opened their hearts to me, invested in our community, and trusted me to be their leader.

Even more I am thankful that when I was a baby coach I didn’t let those fears and doubts stop me from dreaming big and going for it. Cause idk what I would do without coaching & without these humans in my corner 💛

Here when you’re ready to come be a part of this, we can’t wait to grow with you. @ Lake Cavanaugh, Washington
