In an emergency, knowing what to do can make all the difference. ❤️

Learn the skills that could help you save a life during Heartsaver CPR from 5-9 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Community Center. Led by Sterling Heights Fire Department staff, this hands-on course covers adult, child and infant CPR, obstructed airways and how to respond confidently when every second counts. 🔗bit.ly/4gPBcZ2

Participants who successfully complete the course will earn CPR certification valid for two years.

The first day of fall is Sept. 22, and we’re counting down to cozy weather and fall events. Don't forget to mark your calendar for Halloween fun on Saturday, Oct. 17:

🍬 Sterling Frights | 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Enjoy free fun for all ages, including trick-or-treating, hayrides, games, attractions, character visits, c***r and donuts, photo ops and more. Visit specially marked locations to collect candy and treats along the way.

🍻 Boos & Brews | 5:30-8:30 p.m.
When the sun goes down, the fun continues with an adults-only evening featuring music, local food trucks, drinks and hayrides. Admission includes two beverage tickets and a food voucher. Costumes encouraged!

Lace up your walking shoes and discover more of the parks, trails and green spaces right here in Sterling Heights! 👟 The Trailblazer Challenge invites participants to explore 30 destinations and collect a unique sticker from each one.

Each registered participant will receive a Trailblazer water bottle and challenge passport.

Visit each destination, take a selfie at a recognizable feature or sign, and show your photo at the Sterling Heights Community Center, Nature Center, Senior Center or Athletic Hub to claim that location’s sticker.

Collect all 30 to be recognized as an official Trailblazer Finisher and entered into a quarterly drawing for a prize. Complete the challenge by Dec. 31 to qualify for the first drawing. If you need more time, keep going! A new prize round will begin after each quarterly deadline.

🐶 Dogs can join the fun, too. Add a Furry Trailblazer registration to receive a special dog bandana.

Registration is available in person at the Community Center.
