I must share my thoughts.

This is my friend and my sister's mother-in-law. She just finished her 20 mile training run last weekend for year 41st run of the NYC Marathon coming up in November. I've run with Connie a couple times when I was down in Florida she is the most positive upbeat and great person to be around. She always keeps me motivated (besides you Tom and my Ripper peeps). I got injured on my 10 mile run last Sunday and have been off my foot for 4 days now (yes it still hurts but is healing). Of course the downward spiral thinking "I'll never be able to do that Half with my sister in November now!" hit me immediately. But just her comment (and everyone else) on my post about my 10 miler snapped me right out of that mindset.

So glad to be a part of this group...OMG this is so mushy...LOL

Hi all, I have a Forerunner 225 (HR) I am getting ready to put online for sale as I have recently upgraded to a new watch. It was my first Garmin and I wore it about a year and then got the VivoActive when everyone had such good things to say, but the 225 still did some things the VivoActive didn't so I kept both. Well my VivoActive gave up its life in a swimming pool over Spring Break (13 months after purchase, so no warranty..apparently this is a common problem) so I took the opportunity to find a new watch that would give me the best of the 225 and the Vivoactive -- and purchased a Fenix 3 HR. Long story short, I know there are bootcampers and runners that maybe want to invest in a watch but not sure they want to pay full price, I am willing to let this one go for a reasonable price to encourage a fellow bootcamper to take it to the next level. Come with one charger. I was thinking $120.00 (think it was $250 or so new).
Running with headphones should always be a no no; at least in both ears it should (take at least one out). I received an email from a Fairfax Police Officer today who wanted me to remind all of you that you should not run with earphones. Last night a pedestrian, who is now in critical condition, was crossing the street and was struck by two vehicles that she never saw, nor heard coming.
"In defense of slower runners."
Personally, I never mock anyone out there running and shame on those who do but this is still a great article to motivate those "back of the packers".
