Lovely weekend and start of the season for Cardinal at the VA Beach Miracle Regional!

Brooks takes Gold in Y14, Silver in Cadets (earning a B2026) and a Top Eight in Juniors! (Didn’t he age out of Y12 just a little over a year ago?)
Sam fenced an incredible semifinal and final for the Gold in Y12! Extra pile of thank you to Coach Kyle for all the work that day.
Logan (just aged out of Y12) took Top Eight in Y14.
Maahi fenced to her first Top Eight at a regional in Y12! Special congratulations for managing emotions and staying in the fight until the last touch.
Reyan wins his first DE agains a higher seed and takes Top Eight in Y10. Stay hungry dear student!
The medals alone do not tell the whole story. Ben fenced a beautiful game in the 16 showing composure of a true gentleman. It was a tough bout against a very strong opponent and though it was a one touch loss in overtime, these kind of bouts elevate the whole sport. Thank you for that.
Our whole team really did great and as always thank you to the parents for all the driving and support! And yes, we had a mini phone jail at team dinner! Was lovely to spend time together without distractions.
Let’s keep the momentum! Fall 2026 is a little bit of a marathon with competitions so let get back to the kitchen, do a little recovery work in Athlete Prep and keep improving!
