Good morning everyone! I need to share a new policy change we are implementing here at Black Dragon Taekwondo. Going forward we will be abondoning the color names of the rank belts and referring to them as the following:

White belts are now "Frost Dragons"
Yellow belts are now "Sunshine Dragons"
Green belts are now "Forest Dragons"
Blue belts are now "Storm Dragons"
Red belts are now "Fire Dragons"
and, of course, black belts are now "Black Dragons"

Please respect this change and begin using this new system today.

Also, in tonight's classes, wear pants with pockets because we are going to be sparring and learning how to fight by throwing sand in our oppenent's eyes. Bring your own pocket sand.

I began my martial arts training at 14 under Mr. Garry Drake. He taught classes upstairs in an old historic bank building in Perkins, Oklahoma. The style was Tang Soo Do, which is historically a precursor to Taekwondo. Mr. Drake had trained in California at a school owned by Chuck Norris, so I’ve always felt like I had a small connection to the legend himself. I grew up watching his movies and TV shows, and he was always an inspiration to me. Rest in peace, Master Norris. You made the world a much better place while you were here. Thank you.

I am cancelling class tonight due to the roads and sidewalks continuing to be very dangerous and my policy of following SPS's weather related cancelations.

The policy of following the SPS's decisions on weather related class cancellation is a new policy. I welcome everyone's opinions on it. I have implemented this policy so the decision making process is easier on me and everyone else.
