Y’all remember Thomas, right? Told you about him being our longest hunting client, how he liked greenheads and how y’all should be like Thomas and hunt LandRun? Well, Thomas has been wanting to kill a pintail his whole life. He has had chances with us but, never connected. This year Thomas had the perfect opportunity and, finally got his pintail!!!

The 2025-26 season might have been the worst season I’ve seen in Oklahoma. Warm weather throughout the plains kept birds from migrating South. Regardless, we killed birds every single hunt and killed more Mallards than any other species. It wasn’t easy, we had to work for every bird this season but, it was worth it!

Thomas and his group picked the right dates this season. The hunting wasn’t comfortable but, the artic front provided perfect conditions to get birds to play ball.

So, here is what I’ve got to say, LandRun will always do what we can to make sure our clients have the most successful hunt possible. Hopefully without having to shoot ringnecks and spoonies (unless that’s what you’re into). If you want to come to Oklahoma and kill greenheads, be like Thomas, Bill, and Austin! OPENING DAY SPECIAL!!!!

First off, we very rarely offer first split hunts. Typically, birds are spotty and haven’t made it down in sufficient numbers to provide the quality of hunt we are looking for.

With that said, our Cadillac pond has been holding a nice mixed bag of grey ducks and wigeon! So, we are offering a special opportunity for a group of 4-6 hunters to come start opening day with a bang for $300 per gun!!! This a one day, drive up hunt only for this Saturday, November 8th. Get your friends together and come see us!

Had these birds locked up for miles that morning! Wave after wave came from the roost right to our spread! Memories were made!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life changes, we have had two groups of regular clients have to back out of their hunts this year. While we will miss hanging out with them this season, that means we have some great dates in January just open up!

January 6th-8th and 11th-15th are available for up to 8 hunters

We also have some great December dates still open! December 12th-14th and 26th-29th are available!
