Age is just a number. The data tells the real story.

I recently had a DEXA scan to see the “internal” results of my lifestyle. These markers are the gold standard for health and longevity, and at 55, I’m incredibly proud of where I stand:
• Biological Age: 45 (Literally 10 years younger than the calendar).
• Body Comp: A+ (Top 98th percentile).
• Visceral Fat: 0.26 lbs (Excellent/Near Zero).
• Bone Density: Top Notch.
People constantly look for shortcuts or “hacks,” but the A+ comes from the “boring” stuff done relentlessly. I strength train several times—3 to 4 times a week. I prioritize protein every single day. I keep processed foods and alcohol to a minimum. My cardio? Hiking my dog a couple of miles a day.
It’s pretty simple: Consistency over excuses. I’m 55 years old and I’ve never felt more capable. Don’t let your age be the reason you stop; let it be the reason you start.

To each and every one of you — I appreciate you more than you know, and I am so grateful for every single one of you who keeps showing up. 🖤
This time of year has a way of weighing on all of us, and I completely understand that our moods follow. But please, be mindful of the energy you bring into your training sessions. The energy you walk in with can truly make or break your progress — mentally and physically.
And just as importantly, please be mindful of the person standing in front of you who is always here for you, pouring energy into you, trying to lift you up and push you through every single session. There is only so much a personal trainer can give — and as much as we care, we are not therapists. We genuinely don’t always know how to respond to deep emotional weight, and carrying it session after session takes a toll on us too.
Come in, work hard, and let the session be your reset. That’s what we’re here for. 💪

One year ago, Carrie walked into my studio three months postpartum and made a decision to show up for herself, even when it was hard.
