Wednesday Golf League - NMI/Starmet As the company suffered through various reductions in force during the 1990's and into this century, so did the league. Sadly, the company didn't survive.

History of Our League

We started out in 1980 as a typical after-hours company golf league soon boasting over 40 regular golfers in the peak years of the mid-1980's. We've survived, however, due to our members' love for the royal game and the need for a seemingly legitimate reason to go out and have a drink with the guys. Membership now consists mostly of past employees of the old company formerly located in Concord MA as well as friends and friends of friends.

September 9, 2026 - WARNING : Unintended NSFW video! Tony and Henry expected to simply document league closing time at the 19th Hole. They have no idea who added the R-rated background banter. Could've been a course employee or someone from the other league partying inside the clubhouse. Regardless, it was an hilarious addition to the sweeping porch video! 🤣⛳️🍻👍

September 9, 2026 - Congrats to Marc Elliott and Jeff Elliott for their first place finish in our Second Half, one point ahead of Jason Shostak and Smokey Foley, 183-182! They will be competing against Brandon Jackson and Peter Anderson in our Championship Match later in September!

July 1, 2026 - Congratulations to Henry Doherty and Tony Carpenito for earning top team honors in our single round 2026 Brass Balls Golf Scramble Challenge competition. They recorded the best team net scramble score (34 net 28) while playing from alternating red, white and blue tees on the back nine in nearly triple digit temperatures. Second and Third Place honors were earned by Steve Hardy and Leon Tyler at 35 net 29 and Keith Reilly and Andy Kubilus at 34 net 30. Closest to the pin honors went to Andy Kubilus ( #11), Henry Doherty ( #13) and Brandon Jackson ( #16). Keith Reilly hit the Long Drive on #17. Other team scores : Peter-Brandon (34 net 31), Jason-Smokey (35 net 31), Marc (solo 35 net 31), Brian-Greg (39 net 31), Mike-Rusty (36 net 32), Chris-Jim (38 net 32), Dean-Nat (40 net 34) and Peter-Cal (42 net 36).

In addition to cash prizes and accolades, league logo ball markers and coozies were distributed to the golfers.
