Our mission is to provide friendly and safe fitness for all skill sets, from beginner to the advanced I am a lifelong athlete and martial artist.
I have been involved in sports and martial arts since my youth, training in karate, wrestling, Jeet-Kune Do, and boxing, in addition to competing at an amateur level in mixed martial arts (mma) and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments. According to the ICC a recent survey by an association of code enforcement officers statewide found that 65 percent had been assaulted or threatened, and of those about 29 percent were threatened with a deadly weapon. As a former Code Enforcement Inspector I understand the stresses and dangers of the job which is why Mena BJJ is available to teach basic awareness and practical self defense for local inspectors and their departments.
