Stowe Youth Lacrosse

Stowe Youth Lacrosse is a non-profit youth organization (K - 8) serving more than 200 athletes.

The Stowe Youth Lacrosse League (SYL) is a non-profit youth organization serving boys and girls, grades K-8, from Stowe and the surrounding areas. We have nearly 200 lacrosse players, more than half of whom are involved in league play at the U11, U13 and U15 levels. SYL aspires to be an outstanding athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience in which every athlete:

Is coached using the principles of Positive Coaching and the USL Code of Conduct;

Has fun playing the game;

Feels like an important part of the team regardless of skill;

Learns “life lessons” that have value beyond the playing field;

Learns the skill, tactics, and strategies of the game and improves as a player.

As we close out the 2026 season, we want to recognize all of our volunteer coaches, parents and athletes. Thank you for the time, energy, and commitment you’ve given to our SYL community.

This year, former SYL athlete Sam Clarkin volunteered to coach two of our teams during his gap year. In his bio, he shared a lesson from his dad:

“Give to the game and the game will give back to you.”

That simple message captures what SYL is all about.

To our 8th graders: thank you for continuing to raise the bar. As you move on to your next chapter, remember the coaches, teammates, and parents, who invested in you. We hope you’ll carry this spirit forward—and give back to the game in your own way.

Congratulations to the Stowe 7/8 Boys on winning the D1 State Championship! 🏆

The league president said it best before today’s medal ceremony: in just five years, SYL has grown from Division 3 champions to Division 1 champions.

That achievement is a testament to years of hard work, commitment, and perseverance from every player, coach, and family who helped build this program. Thank you for believing in the process and continuing to raise the standard year after year.

Congratulations to the Stowe Girls 7/8 team for winning the Championship! 🏆

A perfect 12-0 season is the result of months of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and determination. This group earned every win and finished the season on top. So proud of these athletes and everything they accomplished! 💚🖤
