Gorgeous night on the CT River watching the swallow show. We are done with public tours for the year, but still have a few private tours for two available. We might be able to sneak in a third kayak if you have a party of 3, let us know.

Happy Friday! Here is some video from Thursday evening. The birds are very active, coming in and flying off multiple times before sunset. We even saw a little bit of a funnel last night.

The last clip shows a perigrine falcon looking for a quick meal and the effectiveness of a swarm in protecting the birds from predators.

Videos don't do it justice. To see the action in person, sign up for our Saturday night tour.

All equipment provided! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Monday evenings show was great! The birds seemed to come down early and fly back off a few times. Each night is a different surprise.

Did you know that tree swallows live on average 2-3 years, but can live up to 12?!

Looking forward to this weekend's trips! Come witness the amazing nature the Connecticut River Valley has to offer.

8/28 Tree Swallow Report:
6% chance of rain, which we got for a few minutes, then it cleared to be one of the most beautiful nights.

Good swallow show - lots of action after they flushed in this shot the camera had a hard time showing this smaller group of birds joining the massive numbers already in the sky. We saw several murmurations, then they settled quietly into the reeds.

Looking forward to going out again. It is always a better show in real life. Next group tours are Friday and Saturday Sept 4th and 5th. https://www.wanderlustecotours.com/birding-wildlife

Or send me a message if you want a different date as a private tour.
