Congratulations to our 4 swimmers who will be participating in this weekends Florida LSC Select Camp. Augustine Cunio, Ethan Ingels, Braelyn McCall and Charlotte Mitchell will all be attending and representing TCA! The camp will feature two time US Olympic medalist Emma Weyant and will be held in Orlando, FL.

When it comes to taking a break in between seasons, everybody’s situation is very different. But if you ask the question as to whether or not you should take a break from the water, my answer is always gonna be yes! How long that break is and what should you do during that time, well that’s different for every person.. The way I approached taking breaks as an athlete was exceptional for me and maybe we can learn a little bit from the mindset it helped put me in each and every time I was out of the water. The ultimate goal is to miss it and miss it dearly! When you get to that point, you will come back more excited and eager than ever before. You could be energized, coming off of a huge season, or you could be energized because you didn’t hit your goals and you are ready to work harder than ever. Regardless of what situation you are in, taking a break of some sorts will help give you that emotional reboot, that physical recovery, and will put you in a position to thrive the day you start back! And if you come back energized, you will be more coachable than ever, you will be ready to work harder than ever, and you will have more fun than ever!
