12U Barrington Blaze's Journey to the Babe Ruth World Series, FLA

A fun update on our Softball World Series ladies! They were recognized at Fenway Park by the at last night's game. They, along with other softball and baseball teams from New England, were brought onto the field with their banners and their accomplishments were announced before the game! What an awesome night for these amazing athletes and their families! Thank you to everyone for supporting and following them on their World Series adventure! 🥎💚💛

🥎🔥💪🏼 WE DID IT!!!!!! 💪🏼🔥🥎
It was an early morning start for the Barrington Blaze, but that didn’t phase them!!! What a match up against the number 3 ranked Florida Creeks Crushers! Blaze had come up short against the Crushers in two previous outings this week. Today, it was a back and forth battle the whole game, which finished in a 4-4 tie after 6 innings. Morgan Trela was a beast on the mound and many girls came up big at the plate!
In extra innings, the Blaze rallied with 2 outs and drove 2 runs in to put us on top. Aliza Parks closed out the game with confidence, striking out two in the bottom of the 7th, and earning her the game pin! Amazing job girls!!! 💚💛Blaze now has a record of 4-3 in the 2021 World Series!!!! 💪🏼

🌟 Next game starts at noon!!! The girls plan on another big upset, hoping to take the number one seed, Louisiana’s JPRD Eastbank, by surprise! Let’s GOOOOO! 🔥🥎💚💛

🔥 🥎 🥵 Phew! What a day!!!
After a complete team effort and solid win this morning, the girls had to battle hard against a tough Kentucky team. This is Fern Creek’s 3rd trip to the World Series and they were a force to be reckoned with. Our Blaze team put up a good fight, but in the end, the Kentucky offense was just too much.
In nearly 100 degree temps, the girls had to dig deep for a 3rd game!
The Riptide from Maiera Beach Florida got a good jump on us, but these girls just wouldn’t quit! We didn’t come all this way for our journey to end here! Our offense came up big and we pulled off the 9-5 win. Phew!
🌟 Many girls deserved recognition for their efforts today! Pin winners were Kaiya Mercier for her stellar defense and speed on the bases, Kate Michaud for her work behind the plate and an in the park home run, and finally, to Morgan Trela for her dominating pitching performance and 2 triples in game 3! Amazing team efforts all around! Looking forward to a rematch with Creeks Crushers at 8am tomorrow! 💪🏼 🔥 🥎

Girls came ready to play today, showing impressive defense behind Morgan Trela, and strong bats at the plate!!! SO proud of these girls for showing grit and dominating our first game today with a 11-1 WIN.
🌟 Props to our Game Pin winners!!!! First game the award went to our amazing catcher Lorelye LeClair for her unbelievable plays at the plate! Second game it went to outfielder Meagan Rinko for her outstanding play! And today, Abby Carpenter was not only strong at the plate, but also made a heads up play and threw a runner out from right field with her cannon arm! Keep up the great work girls!

🥎1. We have received dozens of texts wishing us luck, telling us of YouTube viewing parties, and cheering on our girls play by play! Thank you so much everyone!

🥎2. The entire Harriman Family came all the way to Florida to cheer us on!!! *Kinley played U10 this season along with our awesome bat girl, Paige Pelletier!!! Thank you Harriman Fam!

🥎3. Our parents and families and fans are here at the park while we are on a lightning delay. ⚡️ The girls are trying to stay safe and cool, playing softball tic-tac-toe with the opposing team!

🔆 Opening Ceremonies was amazing!!! It was a beautiful night to get amped for tomorrow’s games! The crowd was pumped and we were so proud to represent New Hampshire and our New England Region!
The girls were especially excited to do some “pin trading,” swapping Barrington pins with other team from across the country. Hawaii was the most sought after for sure! 🌈
It was a fantastic night! 🥰
