Us 🤝 Pin Trading

06/03/2026

To celebrate our journey, we turned our team into their own custom Big League Chew lineup.

The flavors may out of the ordinary, but the memories are real.

This week isn't just about baseball. It's about friendships, families, and a group of kids who grew up chasing the same dream together.

Welcome to Cooperstown!

Livin’ the Dream! ⚾️

⚾️ From the first swing to Cooperstown.

Swipe to see where it all started.

The oversized jerseys.
The missing front teeth.
The dirt-covered faces.
The first catches, first hits, first friendships.

These little ballplayers with big dreams are now standing on the fields of Cooperstown together.

Years of practices, car rides, tournaments, lessons learned, and memories made have led to this moment.

No matter what happens this week - these boys, and girl, have already won. They've grown up playing the game they love alongside teammates who became family .

Here's to remembering where it started and appreciating how far they've come.

Can you guess who each child is? 🧐

2026 FBC Cooperstown pins! Which one’s your favorite? 🌴😎

The one secret no one shares

Parents… let me save you about 6 months of frustration right now.
You’re watching the game thinking:
“How did MY kid make one mistake and get benched but that other athlete just botched 3 plays in a row and they’re still playing??”

And your brain immediately goes to the dark place:
😤 “Favoritism.”
😤 “Politics.”
😤 “Coach has favorites.”
😤 “Coach doesn’t like my kid.”

Sometimes that happens
But MOST of the time?
It’s not favoritism
It’s something way less dramatic

👉 Coachability
Here’s what coaches are really watching:
Not “who makes mistakes”
They’re watching who can be corrected mid-game and actually change.

Because a coach doesn’t mind mistakes -they mind patterns.
And if a coach has given the same correction 10 times in practice and your athlete keeps repeating it - that coach isn’t thinking:
“This kid is terrible.”
They’re thinking:
“I can’t trust this adjustment in a tight moment"

That’s why some athletes stay in - because they respond.

They show some kind of signal like:
✅ nod
✅ quick “got it”
✅ visible effort shift
✅ body language stays strong
✅ they attempt the fix immediately

Even if they still mess up the coach sees progress.

And the opposite?
That blank stare.
The silent shrug.
The look that says, “I heard you… but I’m not processing any of it.”

Coaches don’t interpret that as calm.
They interpret it as:
🚫 shutdown
🚫 overwhelmed
🚫 not listening
🚫 not coachable

And the truth is your athlete might not be ignoring them at all.
They might be blocked by:
📍 fear of messing up again
📍 fear of not being good enough
📍 not understanding the coaching language
📍 emotional overload
📍 lack of focus
📍 wrong environment
📍 or simply not knowing what coachability looks like

Here’s the big takeaway:
Games are not where coaches experiment.
Games are where they play the athletes they trust to adjust fast.

So if your athlete wants more minutes they don’t need to be flawless.
They need to be responsive.

Because coaches don’t reward perfection they reward trust.
