NCS Swim Team

Today’s Swim Meet against Admiral Farragut has been postponed.

Varsity swim tryouts will be the week of August 24 from 3:45-5pm at Bardmoor Pool. Tryouts are open for 6-12th grade and we will only be letting 24 kids on the team. HS will try out August 24, 25 & 26th and MS will try out August 27 & 28. Swimmers will need to find their own transportation to the pool. Swimmers are to wear masks to the pool and come ready to swim. Locker rooms are only open for use of the restrooms. The club does not want swimmers in there to change or shower. It’s a wrap! Great way to end the season and a career. 3 State medals and great relay finishes as well as 14th in diving. Congratulations to all the NCS Swimmers/diver on an awesome year!

And we are down to 6 in the pool. Congratulations to Gordon Leadbetter, Rusty Jerger, Markos Garcia, Drew Withey, Robby Blenis and diver Grace Lathrop for making States!

Congratulations to Ellie Jerger! She completed her first 11 dive meet at the Tampa Bay Classic tonight, finishing 7th and scoring 12 points. Great way to start the meet ! Go Mustangs

Good first swim meet last night for the Varsity Northside Mustang swim and dive team. Proud of all of them.

A little R and R before the first workout!

It looks like the meet will happen this weekend. After talking to all the schools involved, everyone wants the prelims/finals format, so we will be going with that. I have not yet received the warm-up schedule from Shorecrest but am guessing we will be the first warmup at 6:45 am. The meet starts at 8:30. We should be done with prelims around noon. For those who make finals, warm up at 4 and the finals start at 5 pm.



Parents, I will need your help working. I checked Sign-Up Genius and still need help in hospitality and maybe timing and possibly an announcer if the Shaikhs do not get back in time. If you do not volunteer, there is a gate charge of $5.00 for the meet. Also, if you have any hurricane supplies left over, ie: water, snacks etc, please contact Becky Dennis at [email protected]. She may be able to use them in hospitality.

First swim meet of the season vs Keswick. Unfortunately we were unable to complete the meet, but will continue on Thursday the 31st.
