2nd String Sports Providing new and quality used sporting goods to the Valley and beyond since 2012. We provide Combat baseball and softball bats and equipment.

We carry Wilson, Louisville Slugger, Demarini, Evoshield, Rawlings, Easton, Marucci, Lizard Skins and more. 1st String Quality; 1st String Service. 2nd String Sports. There are thousands of families around the Commonwealth that are involved in athletics. Each year kids need helmets, cleats, gloves, balls, etc, and let’s be honest, these are not cheap. If your family is like ours, you probably have

a garage full of quality sports equipment and apparel that was once used and now simply taking up space and collecting dust. Our goal is that families like yours will be able to upgrade equipment and recycle new or gently used gear back into the community. We want to provide families with quality sports equipment and apparel at quality prices. We also realize that there are some items that families would like to be able to purchase new - whether it's a composite bat, a fielders mask, apparel or accessories. As a result, we have reached out to several companies who support our approach and have become authrorized dealers for them. We are a dealer for Wilson, Demarini, Easton and Louisville Slugger. We have partnered with Champro Sports to provide sporting goods at prices much less than the big name companies with similar quality. Finally, we carry Lizard Skins bat grips, Eye Black stickers and grease, Total Control training balls, Bownets and Augusta Sportswear apparel. Through relationships we have developed through these companies, we are also able to provide many other brands as requested by you, our customer, often at better prices than any competitor. We love being a part of our community, and we strive to make a difference while running a successful business. We have a few quick notes to share on STORE HOURS, FAN JERSEYS, and upcoming PRODUCT RELEASES:

1. Our Saturday hours CHANGE this week through the end of the year. We are still open 10:30am-6:30pm Monday-Friday, but Saturday we will be open 10:30am-2:00pm.

2. Stuarts Draft Babe Ruth League Fall Jerseys are available on our website. If you want to support your favorite team, player or coach - or just support the league, order yours today. The link is found on the top of our website: 2ndStringSports.com - just like spring, a portion of the proceeds from these go directly back to the league.

3. New inventory: A limited-edition Supra USSSA Bat called the Tigershark has launched and is in stock while supplies last. Next week, the 2027 Rawlings Icon USSSA, USA and BBCOR line drops. Be sure to follow us or call if you want to get on the waitlist for those.

A couple of quick notes before the Holiday Weekend:

We will be CLOSED Monday for Labor Day. Normal hours otherwise.

Finally, we will be sharing the website links to order Stuarts Draft Babe Ruth League Fan Jerseys to support your favorite player or team this fall. As we did in the spring, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds from these jerseys to the league.

The 2027 Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR and USA Baseball Bats are in stock and ready to hit the field.

For our young softball players looking to get their first new bat, the 2027 Louisville Slugger Youth Softball lineup is due to hit the floor in the next day or two. These bats include the all new Aura: a two-piece -12 composite for younger players (we will have 28/16 and 29/17 in stock). Another new addition to the Slugger lineup is the Ascent: A one-piece composite for younger players (we will have 28/16 and 29/17). Finally, the Quest Alloy gets a new look and design this year - a one-piece alloy (available in 27/15, 28/16 and 29/17).

All of our new products are available to check out on our website - 2ndStringSports.com - you can even order there for in-store pickup or shipping - or in the store where we are more than happy to help you figure out the best bat or other equipment for you or your player!

Just a heads up on a slight change in our hours for NEXT WEEK. We usually would wait a little longer to share but with Fall Sports ramping up, it seems best to share in advance. Again, we will be open regular hours the rest of this week including normal hours on Saturday.

However next week, we will be closed on Saturday (the 29th). To help offset that closing, we are EXTENDING our hours Monday through Friday (24th-28th) to 10:30am - 7:30pm. So:

Monday 8/24 - Friday 8/28: 10:30am-7:30pm
Saturday 8/29-Sunday 8/30: CLOSED

The 2027 Easton Hype Fire BBCOR, USSSA, and USA Baseball bats officially release this Thursday, with the highly anticipated 2027 Louisville Slugger Atlas 2.0 BBCOR dropping right behind it on August 26th. You can them out on our website and join the waitlist.

As always, we are stocked up with all you need for baseball and softball. Don't forget we also have products for all the other fall sports too: We stock practice pants, jerseys, mouth guards, and Guardian Caps for football. We have volleyballs, knee pads and shorts for our volleyball players. Soccer players can find shin guards, soccer balls, socks, goalie gloves and used cleats as well.

Combat Spec A1 and H1 Coastal Series have officially dropped in store today. As always, Combat drops by Rawlings are super limited so do not miss out. We have 2 x 32/29 and 4 x 33/30 of the one piece (A1) and 2 x 32/29 and 2 x 33/30 of the hybrids (H1).
