Thanks Ray and Matthew for coming up again this year for a couple days of fishing and lodging at Sand Bay Beach Resort. A lot of laughs, stories and fish catching on the angry waters of Door County. You both managed the big waves well and fished hard.

Ned’s rigs, tube jigs, swim baits and spy baits all scored fish in water between 1’and 15’

Meet Randy and Greg from Minnesota. Long time fishing buddies and friends made their first trip to the area and we fished the west shore of Green Bay. Morning temperatures were 18° and we might have reached a balmy 35° late in the afternoon. Finding the warmest water between the Oconto and Peshtigo rivers was key to finding fish. Using Hair Jigs and Kalins Jerk Minnow Jr’s with slower presentations proved to be effective over the popular Rip ‘n Raps. Water temps were 39° to start the day and 42° at the end.

Plenty of stories from these two from all of their fishing adventures over the years with lots of laughs - great day on the water. They spend the night at Sand Bay Beach Resort then tomorrow fish the east shore out of Sturgeon Bay with Hall of Famer Dale Stroschein.
