This is how we begin.
Before the movement.
Before the heat.
Before the work.
We ask you to notice something that's already happening.
Your breath.
“Follow the pathway your breath is taking.”
You don't have to change it.
You don't have to make it deeper.
You don't have to be good at it.
Just follow it.
Because most of us spend an enormous amount of our day with our attention being pulled somewhere else.
The phone.
The calendar.
Work.
The kids.
The conversation we're replaying.
The thing that hasn't even happened yet.
So every time we practice at Gratitude, we begin by doing something very simple...
We move from distraction to direction.
We give our attention somewhere to go.
The breath is already there.
In yoga, we talk about prana...the force of life. The life force that's already moving through you before you ever try to do anything with it.
For these first few moments, we simply notice it.
And then we build the practice from there.
This is part of The Gratitude Way...and you'll experience it every time you practice with us in Sudbury.
Not just movement.
Not just sweat.
Practice for being human.
