I donāt care what the thermostat says... if I can stand on it, itās still winter.ā š¤āļø
Scooter has officially reached the āGet Off My (Snowy) Lawnā stage of life. He found the one shaded strip of fence line where the Lowcountry sun hasnāt reached yet, and he is guarding it like itās his job.
He might be a senior, but heās got enough stubbornness to keep that snow from melting by sheer will.
He is currently in a committed relationship with the last 2% of this snow and he is NOT ready to say goodbye! āļøā¤ļø
Swipe to see the progression of a stubborn soul protesting the inevitable. ā”ļøāļø

Third Christmas in our SC home and weāre doing things a little differently! āØ
Decided to skip the hassle of the big fake tree this year and honestly?ā¦..Iām not missing it.
Iām loving this simple, cozy glow throughout the house.
I think Iāve officially entered my āminimalist holidayā eraā¦no mess, no heavy lifting (I get enough of that at the gym! š), and most importantly, no giant tree getting in Scooterās way! Heās definitely enjoying having his floor space back. š¾š āØ

Merry Christmas from South Carolina! šāØ
Looking back at this favorite photo from our terrace in New York today (with a few added embellishments š).
While our view has changed from that NY terrace to our new sunroom in SC, our love for everyone back home remains the same! ā¤ļøš
Itās a bit of a surreal Christmasā¦
itās 78 degrees here today while we hear itās 46 back in the city.
Since our move in 2023, weāve definitely felt the distance, especially as we remember the loved ones weāve lost along the way.
But weāve also been so lucky to find a wonderful community and great new friends here who have made this transition so much easier.
Sending so much warmth (literally!) to all our family and friends up north.
We miss you guys! āļøš“

Tomorrow marks one year since I lost my beautiful grandma, who was such a significant presence in my life and the heart of our home. Between her passing, Chris losing his lovely mom last week a year ago, and losing two of my beloved aunts since moving to SC in 2023... it has been a deeply challenging season for our entire family. šļø
I havenāt felt ready to share much about this over the past year, but I wanted to post this today for anyone else who isnāt feeling the āfestiveā spirit of Christmas.
The holidays can be a heavy reminder of the seats that are now empty at the table. If you are navigating grief, stress, or just feeling a bit overwhelmed, please be gentle with yourself. You donāt have to perform happiness to be worthy of the season.
Sometimes the best way to honor those weāve lost is simply to be kindāto others, and especially to ourselves. ā¤ļø

Nothing is worth your mental health. Period. š¤
As an aspiring yoga teacher and trainer, and a BODi affiliate, I know the pressure to ādo more,ā ālook better,ā or āachieve perfection.ā But the truth is, your fitness journey must serve your peace, not sabotage it.
We focus so much on the physical reps, the time on the mat, or the number on the scale. But if the process is draining your joy and leaving you stressed, is it truly contributing to your wellness?
Hereās the holistic approach I champion:
⢠Mind Over Muscle: Your mental state dictates your physical success. Prioritize rest, boundaries, and inner calm.
⢠Movement as Medicine: Movementāwhether itās a high-energy BODi workout or a quiet yoga flowāshould be a tool for stress relief and energy, not punishment or obligation.
⢠Sustainable Habits: Iām here to help you find routines that fit into your life sustainablyāmeaning they support your body and your mind.
Letās commit to moving from a place of self-care and self-respect.

Stop thinking about it and start doing it.
The most courageous step you can take today is leaving behind whatās not for you anymore.
That decision isnāt a lossāitās the fuel that propels you directly to what is meant to be yours.
