Well we have found a new brake compound to stick with. hit it out of the park with the SR21 endurance pad compound. As you can see compared to new this pad has over 9 hours of racing on it and still plenty of meat left, and bites and lacks fade far better than any similar endurance pad we have ever used. We will be using these for good going forward, especially since the death of Raybestos which ended the ST43/45 pads. Honestly this performs way better anyway.

In addition somehow I managed to get the car complete and ready to race over a month in advance. Time to tackle a few other projects before the winter comes.

On today's episode of doing sketchy s**t with ratchet straps, installing an axle fl**ge. If you remember last episode we used ratchet straps and a tree to pull the rocker out on the side of the car. Well now we have this axle cup that should just pop right in with a couple hits of the mallet. Well after hours of beating the s**t out of it, it won't go in. So out comes the trusty ratchet straps, worked the first time, then ripped the strap.

So why am I even doing this? Check out the second pic which shows the inner CV joint we pulled apart at Thompson ending our race. The issue was that the axle shaft was actually a little too short, which also pulled on the fl**ge, and compromised the seal on the transmission, so in addition to the CV coming apart, the transmission was leaking. provided us with a new longer shaft and a replacement CV, so I was able to rebuild the axle, replace the seal, and get it all back together. The extra length I can already tell works better.

Chasing the eventual winner this weekend. We had the pace but not the luck, hopefully next race is kinder to us. P3 or better slipped through our fingers from something that was a minor mechanical mistake that ended up having longer term consequences. We know the fix and will be back at it at Summit Point in October.

Well the day was going well we were in P3, and then unfortunately the drivers side axle came apart and ended our weekend. The problem with custom parts. Still it was a good weekend with our new brake pads and suspension updates working better than expected.

Well, you win some you lose some. Last year we left this event with our first overall win. This year.... at least the car still runs. Have some work to do for the next race, nothing major, but definitely important. Car is still fast, and we are still sharp. We will be back at it next race for sure.

And that's a wrap. Had a little suspension issue, then the dashboard failed and I can't get it to stay running. We have dropped so many places that we decided to just withdraw the car. No reason to risk it anymore. We will be back for the next one.

Eventful day to say the least but finished off in 17th. Obviously not where we want to be but pretty solid considering we started basically DFL. Car held together well. Thanks to and as if it wasn't for their ECU and kill switch we wouldn't be going anywhere today. Tomorrow we finish up and see where we end up.
