Coach Hall touched the lives of countless basketball players throughout the Sumter Community. He coached, mentored and poured into several Lakewood basketball players and athletes.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Coach Hall's Family, the Sumter High Basketball community, his players, friends, colleages and staff. You will be missed, Coach.

Congratulations to Lori Grant for being named principal of Lakewood High School. Grant joins Sumter School District from Dutch Fork High School, where she most recently served as assistant principal for instruction. In that role, she led curriculum and instructional initiatives, teacher development, school improvement efforts and data-informed decision-making to support student achievement. Her experience and commitment to instructional excellence will be valuable assets to the Lakewood High School community. We look forward to the leadership she will bring to Lakewood High School.

We are trying to start a swim team at Lakewood for the upcoming Fall season of 2026. If you are a Lakewood student and like to swim and want more information, please see the flyer!
