Check out what Karthick has to say about his coaching experience with Moxie Barbell!
Karthick has smashed it the last few months in preparation for his upcoming races. His goal was to lose body fat to improve his marathon time without sacrificing his energy levels.
Together we focused on increasing protein intake from whole food sources and leveraged calorie cycling to sustain his energy levels while successfully losing over 10lbs to get him in the best shape for racing… not to mention that he just casually shaved off 7 minutes from his best half marathon time 👏

Start your day with 30+ grams of protein🍳🥯🥞
If you struggle to eat enough protein, prioritizing a high protein meal first thing in the morning is a great way to set yourself up for success the rest of the day. Plus it will help you feel satiated and energized to tackle the rest of the day!

Get hooked by this post, not your thoughts 🪝
We ALL get hooked by difficult thoughts, feelings, and emotions. And when we do, we take those feelings as facts and let our feelings completely dictate our actions. We’re like a fish on a line getting reeled in by the story that our brain is telling us 🐠
And don’t get me wrong, it is a very compelling story! But these stories are such a big part of the challenges that many of us face on our health and fitness journeys.
We’re ruminating on a stressful situation at work so we go home and have a glass of wine… or 3 🍷
We feel anxious that other people at the gym will judge us so we don’t go 🫣
We’re convinced that any indulgence means we’ve failed and then give up until tomorrow 🍕
Sound familiar? These thoughts hook us and impact so many of the actions that we (or don’t) make.
Swipe through this post to learn more about how to unhook yourself from these thoughts; to acknowledge them AND still keep moving forward towards the life you want to live.
And full disclosure, I am not sitting over here preaching this as some enlightened coach whose immune to these things because I.AM. NOT. I’m actively learning about and implementing these strategies into my own life and have found them to be incredibly impactful in my own journey 💜

Hot take: I don’t really like New Year’s Resolutions
TBH I think New Year’s resolutions are usually a minefield that leave most of us feeling like failures for not overhauling our lives on January 1st. But when done effectively, they can be a great way to kick start your growth.
If you’re going to set a New Year’s resolution this year, my number one tip would be to start small! Pick something that you can reasonably achieve but that’s enough of a stretch goal that you’ll feel proud of yourself for doing it. Use this to build your confidence that you CAN do this and expand from there. And remember, progress > perfection!
Once you’ve set your goal, swipe through this post to learn about 5 evidence-based strategies that will help you actually fulfill this year’s resolution.
Do you like resolutions? If you’re setting one this year, let me know in the comments below!

The words you choose matter
🏋️♀️I want to workout BUT I’m tired
🥙I want to go out for dinner BUT I’m tracking macros
💜I want to prioritize myself BUT I don’t want to disappoint my partner
Why can’t those things exist together?
🏋️♀️I want to workout AND I’m tired — I can go to the gym even though I’m tired
🥙I want to go out for dinner AND I’m tracking macros — I can enjoy a meal out while being mindful of my goals
💜I want to prioritize myself AND I don’t want to disappoint my partner — I can love myself while still taking care of those around me
It can feel really challenging to accept that these things can exist together. And one of the best tools we have for acceptance is this simple word flip.
Swapping but for and reminds you that you can be two things at once! The word “and” allows for much more flexibility meaning that you can experience a wide range of thoughts, feelings, and impulses AND still act autonomously without letting those things impact your actions.
When you’re working with me as your coach, you’ll learn how to embrace both sides of the coin. If this sounds like a lesson you need, let’s chat (link in bio) 😊
