From gymnast to bodybuilder | Silicon Valley Athletics

So many young women grow up believing the goal is to be smaller. More cardio. Less food. Lower numbers on the scale.

Sarah chose a different path.

As a gymnast, she already understood discipline. We feel this journey shows that true strength isn't about looking a certain way, it's about building a body that gives you confidence, energy, resilience, and the ability to do the things you love for years to come.

The stage wasn't the only goal. It was simply the result of months of discipline, early mornings, trusting the process, believing in herself, and showing up when no one was watching.

•1st Place Wellness
•Overall Wellness Champion
•1st Place Open Bikini Class C
•2nd Overall Bikini

The biggest victory wasn't the trophies, it was becoming the strongest version of herself.

The gym isn't just a place to change how you look. It's a tool to build a stronger body, a healthier future, and a better quality of life. Train for longevity. Train for confidence. Train for the things you love.

Congratulations, Sarah. This is only the beginning. 💪❤️

Becoming a Pro Bodybuilder | Flora's Journey

Over the past year, Flora proved that real change never happens overnight. We met Flora a year ago & it's been so exciting to her grow.

To prepare for her very first bikini competition, she committed to training consistently earlier this year 6 days a week. All her mornings started at 4:00 AM, training almost everyday at 5am while balancing work, life, and her love of tennis.

This journey wasn't just about losing body fat or changing her appearance.

Flora focused on improving her strength, posture, posterior chain, shoulder and back development, core stability, balance, and overall athletic performance. She worked through structured training cycles, nutrition, fatigue, self-doubt, and the days when showing up was the hardest part.

But she never gave up.

In May 2026, Flora competed at the INBA Silver & Black Championships and earned:

• INBA Pro Card
•Best Presentation Award

To me, the awards aren't what matter most.

What I'm most proud of is the courage, discipline, resilience, and growth she showed throughout the process.

Flora has always been positive, energetic, and full of life. But before stepping on stage, she still had to overcome nerves, uncertainty, and moments of self-doubt. Pretty amazing seeing all that she's accomplished and knowing she hasn't even scratched the surface of her potential.

She walked onto that stage with confidence because she knew she had earned every moment through a full year of dedication.

This isn't a story about a quick transformation.

It's the story of an ordinary person who trusted the process, stayed consistent, and kept choosing not to quit until she became the strongest version of herself.

Flora, this journey is yours.

Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of it.

Everyone is an athlete. Flora proves this is the most amazing way.

A Coach's Journey | Silicon Valley Athletics

At Silicon Valley Athletics, we believe great coaches never stop learning, growing, or challenging themselves.

One of the ways we invest in our team is by sponsoring our coaches as they pursue their own fitness competitions and personal goals. They don't need us to chase greatness, but we're honored to play a small part in their journey.

Balancing full-time careers, coaching clients, family, injuries, training, and life isn't easy. The discipline, sacrifice, and consistency they demonstrate every day inspire our entire community.

A huge congratulations to Coaches Brandon and Ivan. Every competition they continue to raise the bar. Their work ethic, humility, and commitment to becoming better athletes and better coaches are exactly what we strive to represent at Silicon Valley Athletics. Our clients benefit because our coaches never stop learning.

This one is especially bittersweet.

Coach Caitlin recently competed in her very first CrossFit competition, and we couldn't be more proud. Like Brandon and Ivan, she's one of the hardest-working people we know. While building an incredible coaching career, she also earned admission to UCLA Law School.

Although we're sad to see her move to Los Angeles, we're incredibly proud to have been a small part of her journey. We know she'll continue making a positive impact wherever she goes.

Congratulations to all three of you! Thank you for representing Silicon Valley Athletics with professionalism, integrity, and relentless hard work. Your accomplishments extend far beyond the competition floor, and you're leaving your mark in a big way. Thank you all so much for being a part of our team.

We're proud to have you all on our team. 💪🙏

FLORA | INBA PRO | 2026
We met Flora a little over a year ago, and right away I saw someone with an incredible work ethic and an even better heart.

Training with Flora and the 5am crew has honestly become one of the highlights of my week. She works hard, is extremely coachable, and picks things up incredibly fast. What makes it even more impressive is that Flora is not someone who seeks attention or tries to be flashy. She’s humble, modest, and genuinely grounded despite being such an accomplished person.

At first, the idea of stepping on stage was completely outside of her comfort zone. Over time, we kept encouraging her, building confidence, and eventually she decided to go for it.

Last weekend was originally meant to be a warm-up show, simply an opportunity to get stage experience and prepare for the bigger show in June.

Instead… Flora walked away with an INBA PRO CARD.

NEW INBA PRO 🏆

Could not be more proud of this girl and the work she has put in behind the scenes over the last year. The early mornings, consistency, discipline, and willingness to trust the process paid off in a huge way.

It’s been amazing watching Flora grow so much in such a short period of time, and we’re just getting started. Excited for what’s ahead next month.

CONGRATULATIONS FLORA!!!

SILICON VALLEY ATHLETICS | SPARTAN 2026

Every year, we do this together.

Every year, we wake up before the sun, load onto a yellow school bus at 5 a.m., and make the 2-hour drive with a mix of nerves, excitement, silence, and laughter.

Half the bus is asleep. Half the bus is staring out the window, thinking about what is ahead.

And every year, no matter how hard it gets, nobody gets left behind.

We break into teams, and there is always something special about seeing who ends up in the elusive Team 1. Somehow, no one ever really sees them cross the finish line. They are just there when everyone else arrives, already showered, eating, laughing, and ready to greet the other teams as they come in.

Just as important is the anchor team.

Who will it be this year?

The anchor team is never really last. They are the team that takes their time, supports everyone along the way, checks on people, soaks it all in, and makes sure nobody gets left behind. They may be the last to cross the finish line, but they arrive to the biggest cheers, the feast, the laughter, and the story time under the tent.

Because this is more than a race to us.

It is a reminder that fitness is not just about the gym. The gym gives us the tools to go out and live bigger lives. To climb things. Carry things. Push ourselves. Support each other. Face fear. Get uncomfortable. Build confidence. Make memories.

The race is only part of it.

It is the conversations on the bus ride there.
The nerves at the starting line.
The dirt.
The obstacles.
The moments where someone wants to quit and the team picks them up.
The stories afterward sitting under the tent.
The food after.
The exhausted bus ride home.
The war stories that somehow get bigger every year.

These are the moments that matter.

The friendships.
The memories.
The new people we meet.
The feeling of doing something hard together.

This is one of the most special traditions we have every year at Silicon Valley Athletics, and it means a lot to share it with all of you.

We do hard things because we are strong.

No one left behind. Until next year!
