GCGS is inviting everyone to the monthly match this coming Saturday, June 6 at Markham Park. It will be warm, but our tents, fans and water make everything SO much easier. Because it's a match under cover, we will have a match come rain or shine. You can check out scenarios are posted on our website. www.goldcoastgunslingers.com

Registration starts at 8am Sat, posse walk-through at 8:30am, safety meeting at 8:45am and shooting begins at 9:00am. Set up is on Friday at 5pm and we look forward to seeing you all....both days, if you can make it. If not, see you Saturday!

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of another beloved cowboy, Regular Rude (aka Lawrence Rude Jackson) this past week. Regular Rude has had health issues for the last several years but prior to that, was a regular at our matches, always showing up with a smiling face and positive attitude....the epitome of an all around cowboy. He was such a good sport, he even agreed to take part in a Sadie Hawkins match 16 years ago, stunning everyone with his creativity! Any man who can sport an outfit like that, look beautiful and shoot well is confident in his manhood! He will be sorely missed by all of us. Happy trails, my friend, and thanks for the great memories.

GCGS is gearing up for our monthly match this Saturday! It looks to be a warm day so come on down and enjoy the comfort of shooting from under our tarps. We will also have our big fans in full force as well as cold water for everyone. Yesterday April 4th, 2026 was our Monthly Match for the Gold Coast Gunslingers..... although no Easter Eggs were found... we had a great time. Set-up on Friday went quickly, the tents were put up for shade... although breezy they seemed fine. But decided to take the covers off for overnight. We put them back on in the morning. The weather was absolutely terrific. We couldn't have asked for better. Although near the end, two tents got blown into each other with a surprise strong gust of wind. No damage done, but had to remove the cover to get them entangled.... boy, that was a surprise!

The Gold Coast Gunslingers held a social at Outback Steakhouse in Davie on Sunday, March 29. This social was special because one of our founding members will be leaving the area soon. Angus McNasty will be greatly missed. We wanted to commerate and show our appreciation for all his service & dedication and wish him much luck before he left us. There was a lott of "roasting" and story telling by all attending. Although ordering a "Spirit of the Game" badge almost a month ago, we didnt get it in time. We had us use a photo copy of one instead.

We had a private dining area provided for us by Outback. Their service was impeccable.

The Florida state match, The Last Stand, was great but it is behind us and now it's time to start practicing for next year starting this Saturday! We are looking forward to the scenarios created by our own Thunderbolt Hayes. They will be posted on www.goldcoastgunslingers.com shortly.

The monthly Meeting for the Gold Coast Gunslingers has been canceled for this month. As several of the board members will be at the State Match. Our next meeting will be the 3rd Wednesday of April... April 15th. Come join us to see what your club is up to and have some input. Meetings are held at the Marriott in Weston at 2605 Weston Road, off I-75 at 7PM. You can come early and join us in the hotel restaurant, some of us have dinner or just a coffee. Looking forward to seeing some of out members attend.

The GOLD COAST GUNSLINGERS MONTHLY MATCH was held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at
Markham Park Target Range in Sunrise, FL. Check-in was busy with a great crown of shooters. What a perfect day we had for a gunfighter. The tents were up to shield the sun & we had a great breeze that helped the black powder shooter dispurse his smoke!. If you weren't here you missed a great time. We also had a lot of curious visitors stop by to see what its all about. We had 3 new members shoot their first match... we were truly busy. Great time had by all.

Gold Coast Gunslingers Monthly match on Saturday, January 7th started out chilly with jackets and within an hour that was shed quickly. Turned into a beautiful day for shooting. Shooting friends from up North as well as the West Coast came over to have fun with us. Nothing like a bunch of cowboys sharing a fantastic sport.. we make wonderful friends. If you interested in watching or would like to make it your go-to sport, come visit us on the 1st Saturday of every month starting at about 9A. M.
