There is something magical about a dancer's very first pair of pointe shoes.
For years, these dancers have watched the older girls, worked at the barre, strengthened their feet and ankles, and dreamed of the day they would earn the opportunity to dance en pointe.
Today, that dream became reality. ❤️
Their pointe shoes may be brand new, but they represent years of hard work, dedication, patience, and determination. And judging by these photos, they may not want to let them out of their sight!
Congratulations to our newest pointe dancers. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their ballet journey. 🩰✨

🩰 Every pointe dancer starts somewhere!

Today, our new pointe students learned one of the most important skills of pointe work: how to sew and attach their own ribbons and elastics. It may seem like a small detail, but knowing how to prepare and care for their shoes is an essential part of becoming a pointe dancer.

Whether they’re getting a new pair ready or need a quick repair before going on stage, they’ll have the skills and confidence to do it themselves.

☀️ What a fantastic first day of the IDA Summer Program! ☀️

It was wonderful to have the studio full of students working hard, learning, and thriving. We are especially excited for the group of young dancers beginning their pointe journey for the very first time. Today, they learned how to care for their feet and build strength safely. Stay tuned as we follow their exciting journey throughout the summer!

We also had an incredible master class with Ashley Valent, an amazing performer and teacher. Today she taught choreography from Hairspray, sharing her talent, experience, and energy with our dancers and creating an inspiring and memorable experience for all. ✨🩰

We are so excited to be back in the studio, doing what we love and kicking off a summer filled with growth, hard work, and unforgettable memories.

These are some of the most respected programs in the country, and getting in takes more than talent. It takes discipline, courage, and a willingness to put yourself out there.

We could not be prouder of our dancers for stepping up, expanding their training, and saying yes to the challenge.

🩰 June Morning Ballet Classes at IDA ☀️

Excited to bring our Adult Ballet dancers and Elementary/Advanced students together this June for morning classes at 🩰IDA!

A beautiful way for dancers of all ages to train together, stay strong, and keep moving through the summer. Perfect for students preparing for summer intensives and adults looking for an incredible full-body ballet workout.

Classes will focus on technique, strength, conditioning, flexibility, and staying performance ready for the season ahead.
