Coming up this weekend: scientists are planning something that's never been livestreamed before in Lake Superior. 🌊🐟

On Saturday, a team of freshwater explorers plans to send a remotely operated vehicle more than 1,300 feet down to the deepest part of Lake Superior, broadcasting the entire descent live.

Their goal is to search for rare deepwater species, including one fish that may now exist only in Lake Superior and nowhere else on Earth.
