Sad to report that past SCC President Jack Krisak passed away this morning in Florida. Here's a picture of the last time Jack curled, in the 2019 Spring family league in Chaska. Pictured with son Scott (a frequent SCC bonspieler) and grandson Kolton. Folks might recall his raspy-voiced sweep calls in Mixed League among other memories. Feel free to share more! Always a great guy around the club. RIP, Jack.

🥌 5U Bonspiel Wrap-Up – What a Weekend! 🥌

Our 5U Bonspiel at the Superior Curling Club was a huge success! We had a fantastic turnout, competitive games, and plenty of laughs both on and off the ice. It was especially great to see so many newer curlers out there bringing the energy all weekend long.

Thank you to all the teams who joined us, our volunteers who kept everything running smoothly, our sponsors who donated items, and everyone who came out to support the event. Events like this only happen because of community — and this one showed up in full force. 💙

Even better? Several curlers told us they’re already planning to come back next year. We’ll hold you to that 😉

Today, we got the ice ready on Lake Superior for curling at the Ice Festival, keeping that tradition alive. Huge thanks to everyone who helped clear, flood, and mark the ice.

Huge congratulations to Davin Britton and Team Kadlec for winning the Wisconsin U18 Championship for the second year in a row and bringing home the Glenn Harris Trophy once again!
Next stop: the U18 National Championships in Lafayette, Colorado, January 8–11. We’ll be cheering you on from Superior! 🥌💙

We’re especially proud to see Davin curling at the Superior Curling Club on Monday nights alongside his father and grandfather — three generations on the ice, and apparently three generations perfectly capable of handling the admin a very humbling loss. 🫠
Well done, Davin — we’re lucky to have you representing our club!

Matt Wheeler from Hayward Curling Club and Don Coe from Superior Curling Club are the winners of the first Sister Club Triples Bonspiel!

Because many members of the new Hayward club have limited curling experience, teams were formed by pairing curlers from both clubs.

Now, you’re probably thinking: “Wait a second… where’s the third member of the team?”
Well, since there weren’t enough curlers to form three-person teams on every sheet, Matt and Don — with the very appropriate team name “Not Thruples” — accepted the challenge and competed as a duo.

And they won!
Which raises the real question: what could these two do if they actually had a third?
