Lake Superior YMCA addresses food insecurity with Community Food Box Giveaway The Lake Superior YMCA in Superior is doing its part in addressing food insecurity with a giveaway taking place on Friday.

At the Superior YMCA, local students have been building confidence in and around the water through our Safety Around Water program.

Designed to reduce the risk of drowning, this program teaches children essential water safety skills such as swimming, floating, treading water, and safely exiting the pool in the event of an unexpected entry. Through hands-on instruction and fun activities, participants develop the knowledge and confidence they need to stay safe while enjoying time in and around the water.

At the Lake Superior YMCA, everyone belongs. During Pride Month and throughout the year, we remain committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space where all people feel valued, respected, and supported.

We’re excited to offer free food boxes at the Superior YMCA on Friday, June 5th! Boxes will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m. on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. No sign-up is required.
