Registration is now open for the Surf City YC's 78th Annual Regatta to be held the weekend of September 19-20, 2026!! Classes invited to this year's regatta are Lightnings, Mariners and Catboats (Portsmouth Handicap). For the Lightnings, this event will double as the Manahawkin Bay Cup. Lightnings and Mariners will sail on Saturday, September 19th, and the Catboats will sail on Sunday the 20th. Registration will be online only via the Clubspot site set up for the event. We are looking forward to a great day of Fall sailing on Barnegat Bay!

A Taste of Iberia 🇪🇸🇵🇹

What a wonderful evening at Flavors of Iberia! 🥘🍷 From the incredible paella being prepared right before our eyes to refreshing sangria and amazing Iberia-inspired appetizers, it was a night filled with great food, great company, and plenty of Spanish & Portuguese flair! Thank you to and our hosts for such a delicious night!

Wow! Tonight our sailors brought home the Jack Elfman Memorial Trophy for the FOURTH year in a row!

This wouldn’t be possible without LBI’s BEST sailing coaches, our dedicated parents for getting the kids and their boats to weekly interclubs, our volunteers who take care of our fleet, and our incredible Sailing Director, Steve Warren!

Thanks to the SCYC Juniors and their parents for hosting the Juniors’ Jam! Everyone enjoyed all the good food, great music and a special bonus rendition of “Fly Me To The Moon” by our talented Junior gentlemen! What a fun night by the bay!

This is our wonderful Auxiliary Auction Committee! They revived the classic SCYC auction to raise funds for special projects for the Club. Thank you for putting together such a special evening!

Oh what a night at last evening’s Auxiliary Auction! Bid sheets were buzzing during our silent auction and paddles were popping throughout the live auction as people vied to win the many fabulous donations up for grabs. Thank you to the Auxiliary ladies who worked tirelessly to revive this SCYC tradition, to the people who generously donated amazing items and all the people who came out to support our fundraiser.

July has FLOWN by but we can’t help but think back to one of our favorite events of the summer (so far)… NEEDOH BINGO!

We gave away over 75 authentic Needohs to some very lucky winners. But of course the grand prize went to our unluckiest player who had NO numbers called in the final round!!!

Another SCYC classic tradition is in the books! Hosted by one of our favorite crews, the Pig Roast had delicious food, great company, gorgeous weather, and warm memories made with friends! 🐖☀️
